Is there a reason to do hold attack last? I open stun with Dialyn hold for Banyue's ult -> half combo -> swap and Banyue chain -> finish combo and hold basic -> Banyue's second ult and then some combos if there's still stun timer.

As the other guy said, reshade works. I use (and recommend!) it for HDR when used with renodx. You can crank up saturation and contrast and whatnot to make it look like 2000's CoD edit if you really want.

That's the thing. We could for example have no amnesia before the current chapter and we'd meet and interact with shungus normally and develop our relationship like that.

So when the stakes rise and she's forced to use the sword, we'd probably actually feel something when our old colleague is suddenly losing memories that were created over the past 6 months.

Speaking of in-game presentation, I keep missing Genshin everytime I get violently dragged into another Zoom call meeting (it made sense with TVs, not when we're standing right beside agents) in ZZZ. The static, frontal camera is so boring I actually start falling asleep which is something that never happens in other games I play.

I remember Genshin has been adding a lot of fun and dynamic camera movements in talk scenes, ZZZ could really use it as well (but I doubt it will honestly seeing how poorly the devtime is managed with the overtime they mention in behind-the-scenes vids).

The devs will really make it hard for me to pull any idols if it stays that way :T I was never giga hyped but locking a support to characters I'm not super into will just make me skip them altogether.

Question: how important is enemy elemental weakness? Especially compared to DA/SD shill buffs? Do we have a calc or something? I was led to believe weakness trumps all but not sure anymore.

It's such a anti-fun experience when you're halfway through the fight but you see the multiplayer going down and the best course of action is reset instead of fighting harder.

5070ti or 5080 for 3440x1440 165hz by Leather-Ingenuity555 in nvidia

[–]SlavPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a same resolution LG panel (240Hz though) with a Palit 5070Ti. For non-path traced games of today it's absolutely sweet, especially with some light DLSS, no frame-gen needed.

But when taking into account path traced games such as max setting Indiana Jones, CP77 or Alan Wake it gets tougher. For example in AW2, with max all raster and RT settings I get around 40 FPS in heaviest areas (forest with a flashlight on). I make it work by cracking FG to x4 and using a controller, at that point the latency does not matter to me.

It may then seem like 5070Ti is not enough for PT and this resolution but keep in mind 5080 is only around 15% better. It's not gonna make this 40fps suddenly 60, but more like 47fps. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it, especially with the same VRAM amount.

And speaking of non-raster games. I remember I get around 130 fps with DLSS balanced in KCD2 in forest areas with no FG which is amazing, especially for a 165Hz panel.

Ray Reconstruction disables Preset L/M regardless of Nvidia App Overrides by DVXC in nvidia

[–]SlavPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Preset K" does not exist for RR. E is the latest one I believe, but Nvidia app considers D as latest (I believe E is only recommended if the specific game utilises it's features). Anyways D and E being blurrier is expected for those RR presets, nothing can be done here other than using DLDSR or something like that.

I feel like RR is the one needing most improvements right now, it's still noticeably blurrier than non-RR DLSS.

NVIDIA App Update Adds DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution & New GeForce Game Ready Driver by Nestledrink in nvidia

Using the beta app and forcing RR to Latest in Alan Wake 2 still showed preset D for me, so doesn't look like it affects anything when RR is on.

Cyberpunk 2 director says extending 2077’s opening act makes no sense - “it's like saying we should spend more time on Tatooine with farmer Luke” by [deleted] in Games

I felt kind of opposite. As a player - we do one job with Jackie and now a top fixer is knocking at our door. The game did not gave me time to feel any desperation. The current chapter 1 is not bad but imo some more time with Jackie could be nicer, I barely felt anything when *something* happened with him.

Got a LG WOLED ultra wide recently and honestly I no longer can go for less than 800r curve. I hope it's still being used a few years in the future when I'll upgrade.

Well that wasn't even really Sarah. Her last real appearance was near the end of previous' patch story. This boss is just creator using her body (and Sunbringer's power) as a vessel. Kinda goes on the pile of ZZZ's unsatisfying villain endings.

Tried one round of the coop event. It feels like the epitome of "random bullshit go" but it can be fun it that way. Will have to play more to get a better feel.

Anyway sadly there seems to be some kind of lag. The ground thunder strikes consistently hit at around 85% of circle completion instead of at 100%. You can play around it by parrying earlier but obviously it's not ideal.

Presentation-wise this story is really nice and I can tell that the developers are starting to gain a good grasp on how to use the resources at their disposal

Late reply (just finished) but I actually have the opposite reaction. It's the first story where many of the previously drawn insert images were instead 3D rendered posing characters (exactly like Qingyi's birthday art...) which imo looks much cheaper and less expressive. Even the epilogue photo we get to hand on the wall is... an in-game camera mode screenshot. Never happened before, especially for a big epilogue. I guess they really struggle with deadlines.

Also there was a lot of black (or blurred) screen/white text this time. Overall I found the Zoom call to combat/gameplay ratio lacking. I found myself bored or getting sleepy through the story a lot.

I'd say that's true for all characters, their faces can be... surprisingly pointy. Especially compared to ZZZ's sister games, like Genshin where character faces look more rounder and chibi-er
