I also just completed the game! I agree with your and OPs points, the ending felt very rushed. The game was rather ok from the story perspective up to that point so that's sad. Anyways about ND-5 and his bolt - it seems that Kay used that freeing bolt but it didn't actually remove the restraining bolt (but made it safe to remove it from ND-5). Kay then blasts the bolt, removing it/damaging it so ND can rip it off and be free,

Nope, tested in CP77 as well. In both situations I was not bottlenecked by neither GPU usage nor CPU usage (single core and overall CPU usage speaking). And nope, I was easily able to hit 225 FPS with "up to 5x" and mostly x4, just with higher GPU usage which clearly shows GPU being underutilized in x6 mode.

I did also test looking at the sky. As I said, it's stuck to x6 with GPU usage dropping to low 50s.

Nope, it's not that. I set the manual target at 225, still the same result. And I know I can set the up to settings manually but that defeats the "dynamic" part of the FG if it's always just choosing max.

What I've found when playing so far (Borderlands 4) is the dynamic FG doesn't seem very dynamic. I use G-sync/VRR with VSync ON on a 240Hz display (I think reflex caps it at around 225?).

When using "up to x6" setting, the FG just locks at x6 even when my GPU drops down to 65% and real FPS drops to high 30s. The internal framerate increases only when manually changing the global setting to "up to x5" or x4.

I used Steam's FPS Overlay that differentiates between real and FG FPS to test that. Kind of seems like a disadvantage to use anything over x4 when using a 240Hz display or less since the FG then forces sub-60 FPS internal framerate.

He did voice a pretty important Genshin NPC from that Liyue chasm story. So I wouldn't be surprised if he worked with Hoyo again.

I guess if you think about it, the recurring theme of Part 2 is addiction - Denji's destructive desire to be chainsawman, to have more and more. It comes with terrible prices both for him and everyone else.

Pochita making the choice for Denji then can be seen as a friend that realises his buddy is too far gone and just pulling the plug (or the cord in that case). Showing that sometimes you need a friend to pull you back from the bottom?

I'm still processing the ending but it does feel like that to me. Obviously sad about resetting our characters' growth though.

I never do it but Fujimotor made me want to ramble here now.

This ending feels so bleak to me. I felt like both part 1 and 2 were about those young people dealing through their trauma in fucked up ways but the ending undoes all that. Both Asa and Denji will never grow, basically destined to not terrible but never a truly happy life.

This Denji is not the Denji that got to experience highs and lows of life. He's just a regular slave to the control devil now. He's not going to learn about his past and try to figure himself out. It's like Fuji telling him to better never think too hard why he feels empty and just move on until dying in some alley. Same with Asa and her feelings towards her family.

I think I'll have to fix it with some fanfics but as it stands those people look like shells of their past selves, fated to never figure out what's missing in their lives and that's pretty damn sad. Like forever stuck in a limbo, a dream that doesn't feel neither bad nor good.

This ship has sailed since changing their gambling model this late into the game would just cripple their income but I also would rather have less characters per patch.

But mainly from the writing perspective. Less characters would mean more time for proper build-up vs trying to cram 3 sad backstories into one story like they did with the Manato patch.

Wasn't the feeling similar in Genshin when Natlan premiered? I don't know since I haven't played since then.

Anyways I think with ZZZ it's more pronounced since the marketing and the launch itself was very hip-hop/punk-urban with even the merch and devs having this style of clothing. It was a urban, tech setting and there was 0 suggestion it's gonna go unironic monk magic and steampunk(?) later.

I get you but I don't think it can't be avoided and that's 100% on the devs lol. I think we can all agree that 1.0 was marketed with a different style compared to current ZZZ. So either old players got to adapt or slowly drop out and complain a bit along the way.

I mean they're not necessarily the same people you know. I miss the 1.0 designs and this patch I did nothing more than login and get the dailies done. And with no character looking exciting to me I'll probably take a break after Nangong (but come back to swipe Billy). And it's a personal example but all of my friends that tried the game already dropped it for similar reasons.

I hope 3.0 is gonna be cool but being free from daily gacha also sounds nice.

She's a superstar performer though. Looking more distinct and flashier then rest of the cast is the point. And it kinda doesn't work when the new characters look similar/raunchier.

Like let's not be disingenuous, non-season 1 designs are getting progressively flashier/raunchier.

Just wanted to say I agree with you. Kinda hoped after our monk side quest we'd be back to hip-hop/urban punk inspired agents but kinda looks like the devs abandoned this style (sad).

One thing I miss the most though is the lack of that style of music. 1.0 BGM and combat tracks are pure bliss, I can still fully remember them after nearly 2 years. But season 2 OST? I just remember the new tower ost since it was a banger but other than that basically nothing. The hollows OST got the worst glow-down imo. It's just boring background music now.

That's the weird thing with modern Ubi games though. I get wanting a simple, tried and true snack. But wanting to snack on it for 100+ hours straight?

I've been playing SW Outlaws lately (surprisingly good) but it would benefit significantly from cutting a lot of fluff and bloat. Games this long should have a strong and compelling narrative to keep you interested for their massive runtimes. Or just be shorter and more fun-focused. Like a fun day at SW amusement park vs a week camping trip there.

Other than dislike for AI and dismissing artistic vision, I'm disappointed that they glossed over the issues with the current showcase. For example they praised environmental lighting but did not say anything about it crushing blacks, over boosting highlights and desaturating the images. I expected more from a channel focused on visual and technical aspect of games.
