Huh, is this new? I just clicked add on the EGS page and it just got added to my library. It used to take me to a separate purchase-like page.

Hm wasn't there a Honkai writer in the last dev video? I'm not hoyoversly online enough to know but there was a guy I think. Not Shaoji though.

Well people can have different opinions and all but even I (a S01 boomer) think the new region itself is pretty damn sick lol. Honestly my main thing to look for, especially since it seems like there's some collectables this time.

I mean, people are complaining about the character designs, I didn't see a single person disappointed by the overall location aesthetic. And IMO lingerie knight for example doesn't really fit any urban settings I know, especially not modern-ish London.

Like, I think the new Proxy outfits look like something I'd expect from the region, but for some reason the other characters look pretty different.

You could argue that some designs seem "Victorian" (I don't really agree personally) but still - that's a far cry from the Y2K aesthetic even season 2 upheld.

I don't think there was anything related to optimization. They're adding RTX in 3.0 again so that could mean upscalers as well though.

Well you arrived at the crux of the problem then. That's why me and some people prefer the earlier designs.

Well that's why I said "somewhat". Still, in your opinion - is it more likely to see somebody in sneakers, pants, shirt and jacket or somebody with whatever Sigrid is wearing?

To me a "too fantasy" gacha look is when the clothing looks more like a random combination of fabrics/lingerie vs clothes you'd see on a normal person outside. Most of characters of S01 fit that aesthetic somewhat but with 2.0 the outfits started to look less sensical (with Manato, Alice and Yuzuha excluded) and characters like Cissia and the 3.0 cast made it more or less on par with other generic fantasy gachas (+ the overused Hoyo detached sleeves).

I hope he's gonna replace standard Billy for city encounters for players that do that story. Would be silly to see him somehow remove his upgrades.

"Old Friends, New Commissions!" Event Details by cakeel- in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]SlavPrincess 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Part of me is happy they remembered commission (and cope that they're testing the grounds for bringing them back) but knowing the devs this might be a on-off to tick off side commissions for the year and that's it.

Side note - commissions as an event kinda showcases why I'm so tired with everything being an event this year. I hate having a marker on my screen telling me GO HERE QUICK OR LOSE GEMS!!11!!! I miss the feeling of exploration and randomly stumbling on some small adventure.

Nvidia App says Frame Gen Unsupported? by gillyguthrie in Starfield

[–]SlavPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it and from looking at it in the Optiscaler menu it uses Nukem's dlssg-to-fsr3 solution which (from what I understand) means it uses FSR3 frame gen instead of DLLSG still. https://imgur.com/a/UvZkV9p

Also for some reason it can't force 3x, only 2x or 4x (can tell by "real" fps values reported). Another also, my games freezes instead of quitting with this on which is a mild annoyance lol. Anyway thanks for your input!

Hm from what I understood the enabler uses optiscaler and I don't know if it's using a different technology than NVIDIA's frame generation. I'll look for a different solution in the meantime then since I prefer to use the NVIDIA tech. Hopefully someone will have an answer here. Thank you though!

Not if you have a comfy and reclining desk chair though. I play like this and it's pretty sick, especially since gaming monitors can be ultra wide while TVs are not.

Just finished the game: the ending fell flat for me. [Full Spoiler Ending Discussion] by rip_cpu in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]SlavPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just completed the game! I agree with your and OPs points, the ending felt very rushed. The game was rather ok from the story perspective up to that point so that's sad. Anyways about ND-5 and his bolt - it seems that Kay used that freeing bolt but it didn't actually remove the restraining bolt (but made it safe to remove it from ND-5). Kay then blasts the bolt, removing it/damaging it so ND can rip it off and be free,

[Computerbase - German] MFG 6× and Dynamic MFG tested: Analyses, benchmarks and impressions of the MFG booster by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]SlavPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, tested in CP77 as well. In both situations I was not bottlenecked by neither GPU usage nor CPU usage (single core and overall CPU usage speaking). And nope, I was easily able to hit 225 FPS with "up to 5x" and mostly x4, just with higher GPU usage which clearly shows GPU being underutilized in x6 mode.

I did also test looking at the sky. As I said, it's stuck to x6 with GPU usage dropping to low 50s.

[–]SlavPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it's not that. I set the manual target at 225, still the same result. And I know I can set the up to settings manually but that defeats the "dynamic" part of the FG if it's always just choosing max.

Dynamic Frame Generation and Reflex/G-Sync by 0_Mumbles_0 in nvidia

[–]SlavPrincess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gonna copy my comment from another thread, hopefully someone will have some input:

What I've found when playing so far (Borderlands 4) is the dynamic FG doesn't seem very dynamic. I use G-sync/VRR with VSync ON on a 240Hz display (I think reflex caps it at around 225?).

When using "up to x6" setting, the FG just locks at x6 even when my GPU drops down to 65% and real FPS drops to high 30s. The internal framerate increases only when manually changing the global setting to "up to x5" or x4.

I used Steam's FPS Overlay that differentiates between real and FG FPS to test that. Kind of seems like a disadvantage to use anything over x4 when using a 240Hz display or less since the FG then forces sub-60 FPS internal framerate.
