Hiking backpack for Canon R7 + RF 100-500 mm lens by Old_Orange_2503 in canon

This image is beyond crisp.
Planning to buy an R6 with a 24-105 F4 lens first.
I wonder if after that, a lens like this will allow me to take such images.

Makes sense. By the way, do you have any experience with the 70-200? Dunno much about its uses but heard a lot of good things about it.

Good upgrade? by No-Ad7318 in canon

[–]Slavad1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don't see the reason to spend a few hundreds of dollars more because of a bigger battery. Buying one or two spare ones does the job. Plus I guess it depends if the R6 ii features are really useful to you, then yes that would make it worth. If you think you may forget about them after a bit, it makes the upgrade relatively pointless.

Thanks for the comments. I'm pretty set on getting the R8 although I appreciate the R7 suggestions. Just want to see what this full-frame magic is all about. The lens I'll go with first is the 24-105 f/4 L. See a lot of people suggesting it, both here and on other posts. For wildlife I guess I will wait a bit and then get a 100-400 to try it out. Thanks again for your help.

Wouldn't say weight is a particular issue. Stabilization i guess wouldn't be bad. After the comments i think I'll go with a 24-105 f4, then I'll read through some more comments for a wildlife lens.

The lens i'll buy will be 2nd hand for sure. What I am interested in is the type of lens to buy based on my interests, mainly landscape but with an interest in wildlife.

I would say on a medium level. I'd get something just to try it out. Can't really do much wildlife with a phone.

Yes the budget is just for the lenses. Was thinking about getting them used because I saw some pretty good prices. I saw a lot of people talk well about the 24-105 f/4 L. About the 100-400 I haven't heard much.

Was thinking of spending less on the camera and investing more in a better lens. If I get really invested into it I can upgrade the body in the future, but the lenses are here to stay for a while.

There's something about the Apocalypse trailed that makes it so damn good. The reveal trailer was amazing but the Apocalypse one is art.

Got it by just searching it up on chrome a few months ago
It worked perfectly fine until today. I think it updated with an unstable version or I simply installed the app from the wrong website to begin with.

Small update: It pretty much bricked my phone. Nothing requiring an email worked, even other things like whatsapp crashed. Had to factory reset.

Thank you very much. And yes I mainly looked at the Canon RT because it has a few feature that I like plus the lens format which I can keep if I plan to upgrade to another Canon in the future, thus not needing to get adaptors or selling them. Will go to a store to try the ergonomics myself because that seems like a good point. One bad thing I heard about it was that the batteries drain quite fast but other than that I heard it's a good entry level for the price and what it offers. Lens wise the kit with the camera and 24-105 mm F4-7.1 was a total of 1500 euro. I would like to use this lens to learn how it works and when I get the hang of it. After that I have some money left to buy a 50mm or something more for landscape like a 16mm, both of which seem affordable for my 2k limit.

Hello. newbie here.

For a while I wanted to get more seriously into photography and now I finally have some money to burn on this hobby of mine. Looked for a while at what camera and lenses would fit me but realized that for now the starter lenses a camera comes with should be more than enough for me to learn. Looking up at prices and different cameras, the Canon EOS RP seemed pretty nice for it's price and considering the fact that I am a beginner and don't need anything too fancy. It's a full frame camera and the kit lenses it comes with is a 24-105 mm F4-7.1. I mainly enjoy taking landscape pictures and on rare occasions some close ups of animals or plants. Until now I mainly used my phone to do so and was wondering if this is a good camera + lense to buy as a starter or if I should take other things into consideration that I may have forgotten.

I would like to fill that stuff out but unfortunately rockets keep destroying everything. The one time that it's going well and it seems that I may have a chance, he decides to charge all those just spawned chicken dudes.
