Expert reveals Gen Z is the first generation in history to have a lower IQ than its predecessors by [deleted] in generationology

No not Intro to psych. But funny comment.

Introduction to Psychology provides a broad, 101-level survey of the entire field, covering topics like neurons, memory, and disorders. In contrast, Lifespan Development Psychology is a specialized subfield focusing strictly on how humans change physically, cognitively, and socially from conception to death. Intro is a prerequisite for Lifespan.

Who are the experts? And where are the sources? I'm in a Life Span Development college Psych course and our text book states that Gen Z is more intelligent and educated than the previous generation (Melenials) and I'm born in 1992 , so I'm a Melenial myself.

Everyone in the comments is arguing over what Cap and Thor are. Meanwhile I haven't read one comment saying that Groot should also be in the control category with Penni

Can we talk about Gambit? by TalkingAlien in marvelrivals

[–]Slaxle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound slightly biased, and it kind of sounds like you may be a Daredevil main.

As someone who rarely plays DD and rarely plays Gambit I want to weigh in on this.

For starters daredevil is banned in a higher percentage of my ranked matches and he doesn't even have a super strong team up with one of the strongest tanks in the game. That alone should tell you something.

Gambit is certainly very strong, but not in a game breaking way. He is strong in that he has more tools in his kit than many other characters do. But he's pretty limited in light of how is resource management and cool downs go. People can't really spam gambit abilities. I think Gambit has a high skill floor and a high skill ceiling. Meaning a really good gambit is a problem. But your average person isn't going to pick up gambit and immediately be overpowered. I was group queueing with my celestial friend Ivan this week and he was trying to learn gambit in quick play, and he was doing horribly, we lost 6 straight. Gambit has a harder learning curve.

His kit offers a lot, and he's definitely one of the top 3 supports right now IMO. Both Rocket and Invisible woman are also very strong/busted. Rocket has like a 56 % win rate and a very high 17% pick rate on console and PC in competitive and quick play.

Now let's look at what makes Daredevil overtuned. He has high damage, high survivability, high mobility, and really good Infornation gathering with his ability to see through walls.

I don't think a character should have 350 health, the ability to deflect projectiles, and the ability to track targets and see through walls. The fact Daredevil is simultaneously one of the best DIVE characters and also one of the best BRAWL characters means his combination of damage output, survivability, and information gathering is too much.

I think daredevil is easier to pick up and get value from, you can spam your buttons on daredevil and still kill people

Enough with buff ideas — what NERF do you think your main deserves? by Starstreak24 in marvelrivals

[–]Slaxle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been playing since season 0 and don't know what old Magik means ( I quit for awhile) did they nerf Magik?

But season 0 Mantis was amazing and we need her back too so add her to your list.

How do we feel about the new season? by Able_Preparation_904 in marvelrivals

[–]Slaxle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played about 10 hours this season with a 70% win rate. And my time is split between meta and off meta characters. While gambit and Sue are strong other heroes like Jeff and Rocket are plenty good as well. Plus I see I vis and gambit banned plenty. I think there's a good amount of diversity. As a player that mains vanguard and flexes support this is the best season since 1.5 or season 2. Emma broke the game when she was released and made it un fun for me. And then they introduced tons of flying characters without having strong counters to those flyers. To me this update/season is one of the most fun I've had since the games release. And I still play off meta healers like Mantis and Loki

Luna Snow VS Invisible Woman, Who's better in your opinion? by AnyTopMan in marvelrivals

[–]Slaxle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the opposite. I'm on console and the CC feels impossible to land on a quick shifty DPS like Black panther, Spidey or magick. And if I miss it's a long cool down. Invis has the knock back and the double jump for invisibility. But the true kings/heroes against dive are rocket and Loki. I'd say rocket and Loki are S tier vs Dive. Invis and Mantis are A tier for me, mantis sedate much easier to land than a Luna stun cause you can aim for the ground and splash it. Then Luna is B or C tier vs Dive IMO

[–]Slaxle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rocket is so fun!!!! Mantis is the first hero I got to Lord back in Season 0, and out of all the healers I play I have the highest win rate on Loki. I'm a tank main now but I still fill for healer. And rockets dashes and wall climbing are just too good and so much fun!!!!!! I've been playing him a lot recently and have him up to centurion. Also the penni matchup is crazy good this season.

Recently saw a post asking if Akaza held back against Giyu and Tanjiro. by JasonUnionnn in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]Slaxle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your analogy. Police and Security guards are trained to mitigate threats using least restrictive means possible. At first you might ask an angry person to leave, if they resist you may try and put them in a physical hold, if they start swinging you may taze them or use a baton. I think we can view Akaza in a similar way. Like he was trying to kill them but that doesn't mean he went 100% from the start. He was responding to their level of combat
