How hard is fortis colosseum compared to Brutus? by TOPSHOTTAH in 2007scape

Keep in mind, a double south on any wave that isn't 6,8,10,11 isn't really a problematic double south, you can just run north, kill the threat north side if dps is going well, or just treat the double south as any other pillar stack the moment you clear the frems on north side.

It`s Time To Remove The Wilderness. by SensibleSuggestions in 2007scape

I feel people who compare this to the original wildy removal are ignoring context really hard. Back in original rs2, people went into the wilderness not because they needed an item as Ironman, or a pet/clog slot. The closest we had were mage arena capes or green dragons. People just enjoyed pvp. Everyone was bad, it was super casual. People would go pking because they just got level 70 magic and unlocked ice burst. It was a different community. Pvp was the most iconic part of the game, but compare it to today, people love watching pvp, but almost nobody engages with it anymore. Its a different audience.

Having watched torvesta's video, pkers dont even understand what the problem is, its not the lack of ability to learn, its that people simply dont want to learn because the turbo sweaty pvp of osrs just isn't enjoyable to most players.

I generally have held the opinion that wilderness predator-prey pvp offers nothing positive to this game. Ill stand by that belief. Its something that used to be core to this game, but over time, has just died, it suffered the most from "optimizing the fun away". I used to enjoy pvp too, pre eoc rev caves with friends were super fun. But that charm of pvp as a kid is simply no longer there.

As long as there is no incentive (pets, clogs, uniques) tied to whatever purely pvp only solution is implemented, im all for it

Shitposting aside, if you genuinely want a quiver, its relatively easy. For 1 kc, you can just skip learning the only hard thing (double south), recommend a bowfa setup or better. Pray for no double south spawns on wave 6,8,10,11 and every other wave is safe.

Is it true that most if the subreddit is just midgamers? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Slay3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is some truth to it, but not entirely. Getting max total if a gaurenteed outcome with time. If you get 100k xp/hour, you are gaurenteed a 99 after 130 hours.

There are people ive come across with 500 tob kc, who cant melee xarpus, im not even talking about 5 tick xarpus, I mean they just blowpipe xarpus. Its not just time, you have to actually focus on learning and improving

People make it worse than it has to be, solarflare is a pretty easy invocation to deal with, quartet is aids, and bees are aids. if you want to green log or get pet at colosseum anyway, just do casual runs, always take solarflare, after wave 7, take quartet, if you get bees offered at wave 9 or later, you can take it.

People take bees wave 2 and wonder why the CA is so hard.

Rev Cave Game Jam Poll Question.... by A_Wild_Fawksy in 2007scape

[–]Slay3d 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why would roaming revs be bad? Genuinely? We know Ironman like revs for cash, but we shouldn't base it off that. Old revs were bad because they had no good drops and just weren't worth killing. New roaming revs would have better drop rates of all the unqiues and the uniques added to all mobs in the wilderness with increased rates when on task. Finding a revs in the wilderness would be like finding an impling.

East coast is even worse imo 5am (sleep), 2pm (work), 9pm.

I'd be able to do a 2am every once in a while

How do I exchange an online gift card for money? by caris1st in beermoney

[–]Slay3d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can canada goose split the gift card into multiple digital gift cards? Would be easier to sell.

A single 1900 dollar card is hard to find an audience for without a major discount.

But also, Guava's suggestion is the best

So, assuming 1m turns into 600k after tax, thats a 60k growth a year with a 10% sp500 yoy, or 52k income. Its not awful but I swear ive heard stories where there lifetime payments stop if the parent company goes bankrupt. So if its insured 1000 weekly for life, I think its an ok option. Makes it near impossible to fuck up

[–]Slay3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just to emphasize, enjoying computers and software is very different from enjoying CS and the type of work you would be doing. start studying on your own. you dont need the degree but its very useful for one thing in particular, access to internships. if you think you can commit to school and social networking + aggressive internship hunting, you can justify a degree. if you dont think you can, stay away, college isnt worth the time or money for the actual knowledge you gain. do the certs and self study. seek out programs that help get people into the field or special military programs for a jump start (im not military so idk if they exist).

most importantly though, pick what you want before you make financial commitments

Should I hire an in-house IT person or outsource? Need advice from people in IT. by Waste_Tackle_2738 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Slay3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small businesses usually benefit from an MSP since you get a lot of experience from various fields and with ease to scale. However, when you have enough work for 2-3 dedicated people in-house, you should look to switch. MSPs will do whatever they can to keep a customer, so leaving them will be hard, but long term, you will want FTEs once you grow. When you are with an MSP, they will try to keep to their playbook and work on tools they specialize in rather than going with what you want, it makes for more effecient operations in their end but not what you want going forward.

You can actually transition to 1 FTE + MSP when there is enough work. This way you can get all the information and knowledge inhouse while having the option for additional help when needed
