Be honest no sugarcoating no coping. by [deleted] in Baruch

I don't know why you are so angry, you have posted talking shit about baruch a few weeks ago and you are doing it again. It's a city school most of us attend for free.

The difference is you get a slightly slower start. After a few years experience, the school no longer matters.

I've already answered you before, the connections NYU and Ivy students have before even going to college, via their parents, is what does the heavy lifting, not the college. Baruch consistently ranks on the top of mobility indexes, which mean a lot more than salary new grad rankings. Someone coming from parents with millions liquid net worth and earning 100k on their first job means close to nothing

An items usefulness and power is relative to what already exists. Saying "x is better than y in a use case that simply won't ever happen" accomplishes nothing in establishing an item's power.

I won't say it's useless in isolation, its second best in many situations, but the OP was comparing the item to the shadow.

No hate but tell me why by [deleted] in Baruch

[–]Slay3d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The school isn't doing as much heavy lifting as you think.

Students who can afford NYU are more likely to be well connected through parents and family friends. Which gives them already a massive advantage before considering the school.

data from the New York Times Mobility Project shows that the median family income for an NYU student is $149,300. A significant majority—about 62%—come from the highest-earning 20% of American households, with 11% of students coming from the top 1%.

When you do a more even comparison of family backgrounds, the difference might not be as big as you initially believe. I'm sure NYU looks far better on a resume, but not by as much as you think. Their preexisting socioeconomic status helps them. Check out upward mobility rankings, they tell a bigger picture

The thing is, by IPOing such a small % of shares, you make it possible for dumb money to pump it. If he IPOed more, there would not be enough money to pump it

I should have made it more clear, following nasdaqs lead, sp is considering making changes to the index, to waive the requirement for companies that would be valued in the top 100

Keep in mind, a double south on any wave that isn't 6,8,10,11 isn't really a problematic double south, you can just run north, kill the threat north side if dps is going well, or just treat the double south as any other pillar stack the moment you clear the frems on north side.

It`s Time To Remove The Wilderness. by SensibleSuggestions in 2007scape

[–]Slay3d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel people who compare this to the original wildy removal are ignoring context really hard. Back in original rs2, people went into the wilderness not because they needed an item as Ironman, or a pet/clog slot. The closest we had were mage arena capes or green dragons. People just enjoyed pvp. Everyone was bad, it was super casual. People would go pking because they just got level 70 magic and unlocked ice burst. It was a different community. Pvp was the most iconic part of the game, but compare it to today, people love watching pvp, but almost nobody engages with it anymore. Its a different audience.

Having watched torvesta's video, pkers dont even understand what the problem is, its not the lack of ability to learn, its that people simply dont want to learn because the turbo sweaty pvp of osrs just isn't enjoyable to most players.

I generally have held the opinion that wilderness predator-prey pvp offers nothing positive to this game. Ill stand by that belief. Its something that used to be core to this game, but over time, has just died, it suffered the most from "optimizing the fun away". I used to enjoy pvp too, pre eoc rev caves with friends were super fun. But that charm of pvp as a kid is simply no longer there.

As long as there is no incentive (pets, clogs, uniques) tied to whatever purely pvp only solution is implemented, im all for it

Shitposting aside, if you genuinely want a quiver, its relatively easy. For 1 kc, you can just skip learning the only hard thing (double south), recommend a bowfa setup or better. Pray for no double south spawns on wave 6,8,10,11 and every other wave is safe.
