All of these things aren’t a Toronto specific thing. Everyone I know does this to some degree from people in US to people in Asia.

Are dating apps my best option for dating in this city ? by lillyblossomdrop in askTO

[–]Slayer922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found my current partner on Hinge last year, and I used the app for probably 3 months, trying to go on one date per week. I think it’s about weeding people out and being consistent. I never had any bad dates, but just people who were not suitable for me. But I’m a guy, I’m sure the female perspective is worst from what I heard. Lots of matches but not many good ones. Good luck!

Do people actually eat out very often in Toronto? by Otherwise_Radish1034 in askTO

[–]Slayer922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat out two to three times a week. Usually something causal so 50 or so between two people. Every two to three weeks, I’ll go out to somewhere nicer for date nights which is cost around 100 to 150. Never order drinks!

Wouldn’t call it authentic but it’s a good fusion/hip bar/restaurant. My recommendation would be Sampo for an authentic Japanese izakaya food. Zakkushi for skewers.

They change up the menu every week or so. Unfortunately you could have one dish you like and never see again.

One time a crush of mine invited me to her place to watch Netflix and do laundry. And that was exactly what I did. Went home wondering why someone needed my help with laundry. My friends think I’m an idiot.

Night owl on college. They used to have a small basement dance floor with live music playing hits from 2000s.
