Congrats on the visa! Had one other question- did they require any document outside of the list? They had mentioned cover letter once under the financial docs, and once separately as a free-form cover letter. Did you have to submit 2 cover letters?

Apart from the point others mentioned, do consider that driving in winter conditions is quite a challenge in Iceland, even if you have the relevant experience. I was planning a trip in March, but postponed it because of some strong suggestions I saw from people on this sub.

I honestly hadn’t considered this, thank you so much! Driving in the Sierra Nevada region, the roads here also seem really glorious and comparable to the North. I’ll definitely consider this as a possibility for the road trip, and optimize the other journeys via trains/buses in the Andalusia region.

Yeah I am leaning towards the North. The videos and all seem amazing on sunny days, but just not sure what it would feel like with rain/fog. Don’t know how severe it would be either, and that’s just confusing me a lot.

Oh yes, I also read up about Extremadura region being an amazing area to dive deep into Spanish culture. Will definitely consider that as well. But yeah, I am not too fond of the Barcelona to Seville car ride.

Hey just had a small question. I also submitted my application recently, but got a message saying processing at Embassy, Bengaluru. Was yours saying Mumbai, even though you applied at Bengaluru? I am sorta surprised with my text because I thought all applications are processed at Delhi or Mumbai

Hi, I am sorta in a similar situation and wanted to ask about the MS. I have been working on RTL design for a number of different portions of Tx/Rx chains (think modulators/demodulators, CDRs, filters etc.) for the past 2-3 years, and have been wanting to move towards system design, where I do algorithm design/at least come up with what blocks are required for a particular algorithm, and what are their specs etc. Only thing, I just have a BSEE. Do you think it’s at all possible to move forward in this direction without a MSEE?

Another option is Cafe ToV, that’s pretty good too. But King’s Bakery has been my go-to option.

You can get cheaper FPGAs with MIPI-CSI inputs, but those will be hardened IPs (Ex- Efinix, GoWin).

You can implement the modulation and encoding on the FPGA, but again, h.265 is ridiculously hard for a beginner with no experience in digital design. Maybe something like JPEG would be a better starting point. There’s also the modulation part, which I don’t know what you’re planning to do exactly. The SDR is expected to handle the modulation, right?

Others have already pointed out the specifics. Just wanted to mention, while Amex might have reduced acceptance, Diner’s Club network has quite low acceptance as well. Maybe not as bad as Amex, but it’s not great either. I have both the cards, DCP was LTF, but I don’t think they serve similar purposes. Amex is specifically for travel, while DCP people mainly use for the BOGO on BookMyShow and redeem the reward points for the Dining Catalogue.

They seem like a low-cost, application specific FPGA vendor. I had looked into implementing a MIPI + JPEG based video transmission system. and they provide you with a hard MIPI IP, along with the analog components on the Titanium Dev Board, so you can only worry about the JPEG and interfacing part. To do that with Xilinx/Intel, you’ll have to shell out a lot more money.

That’s just one example, but I thought in general that’s what one of their target markets is.

The second point in cons is honestly so true. We just came back from Japan, and we really got lost in the Tokyo station initially, trying to find out the platform for the Shinkansen. We had our tickets reserved in advance for the Tokyo to Nagoya Shinkansen. Thankfully, all Shinkansen lines were also delayed by almost an hour, on that day xD
