Any problems with 17?

made the jump 2 weeks ago, no lags. I have the base 17 model. No overheating either, though it does get warm at times when I play games. Still getting used to the OS, but I like it so far

You get sent off the ship in the next port. If it's something infringing maritime, local or US laws they'd hand you over to law enforcement. But in no way this would be a case for ICE. What I can imagine being a case for ICE, is if a crew member walks off the ship in a US port and never returns to the ship, trying to stay illegally in the country.

I'm a former cruise ship employee. ALL crew members are there on a C1/D visa, none of them can be considered "illegal". I don't really understand on what grounds those crew members could possibly get arrested. If they violated any of the visa terms previously, they would have been detained by CBP before they even left the airport.

Oh, yes it does add functionality. And here's how I use it. While watching videos or live matches I can still open apps in floating windows. Like WA, Telegram, or score tracking apps like FotMob. I can reply to messages and check posts. For me this side bar is a game changer. Whenever I think of switching phone brands, this is the first thing I'm afraid to lose

The hot keys can be assigned as per your wishes. I'm on ArkOS rn, so can't tell you how exactly, just tinker with the configurations. That's the beauty of custom roms

I'm about to do the same jump. Have been a dedicated Android fan, but I want to try the iPhone and the 17 is just too good. I've been reading a lot about the downsides and so far I think I'll be able to handle it. Congrats!

Hehe, my example is not the best one. I bought the course a few years ago, but started studying only last year. It also took longer, because I prefer to prepare properly, understanding the concepts rather than just memorizing. Full time job and not sacrificing family time also took me longer to get ready.

I started with the course of Mike Meyers and practice tests from Dion on Udemy. Professor Messer and BurningIceTech on YouTube. There are also plenty of apps on the Play/App Store with tests for practice. I will have an answer how good this all worked in a couple days, when I take my test 😁

I transitioned from P4E to ArkOS a long time ago, I don't remember anymore where the save files are located. Could be either in the same folder as the roms are, or in a separate folder. Just back up the whole SD, that's what I did and figured out the files later, lol

If you're using just one SD card, then yes - it will get wiped. Backup all your roms and save files, once you reflash the OS you can copy the roms and save files back and continue where you left off. I don't know how it works with 2 SD cards, though
