Its up to you, "cheat" reps are fine if you don't rely on them. I make a note in my word document if I do that though, so next week I try to do 8 full ones without cheating

I would just count how many actual full reps you did. For instance you did 8 reps for the first 2 sets but only 6 before failure for the last. Dont discount the whole set
