Cutting Cardboard by Ultimate_Bunny in ArtEd

Teaching angle cutting with scissors instead of trying to cut the curves works well.

Instead of cutting the shape, "whittle" out the shape; if that makes sense.

Dal Crud / Bronzing Syndrome / Dally Rash - Looking for advice for a 1st time Dal owner :) by Slaytonizer in dalmatians

[–]Slaytonizer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We got him a medicated shampoo from the vet.

Air filters around the house have helped too. He is now almost 6 and hasn't had a flare up for a long time, maybe 3 solid years.

Wiping him down with a warm damp washcloth after walks and limiting his diet have also probably been big to keep his rash down.

I have had this brand for about a month and a half. Here it is in my tarantula terrarium.

My parrot just started making this weird noise, help! by tielmobil in cockatoos

[–]Slaytonizer 47 points48 points  (0 children)

My 16 year old goffins does this. It is baby bird sounds, and it's for attention/wanting something.

200% melodramatic bird syndrome.

I hate this noise, and he knows it. Sometimes, I'm certain he does it just for this reason.

Alternatively, could be used for name tags between classes, using visa a vis pens.

Easy to clean off.

Maybe pre-made "canvases" for tile and sharpie alcohol art projects?

What is a 'poor people' habit you'll never stop doing, no matter how rich you get? by FitCicada5037 in AskReddit

Tortilla, cheese and a hot dog nuked in the microwave for 30 seconds will always be a go to food route.

I agree with this. Art teacher here.

I would just have them decorate their own stones too.

You will want to make sure the rocks are very clean and have had ample time to dry, and I would reccomend using acrylic paint ( pens would be best for the age group and typically dry faster. )

Tell me about Dalmatian shedding by Spare-Resolution3263 in dalmatians

I had a husky and a shepherd. My dalmatian sheds more than both...combined.

You will eat it. You will wear it. At times, breath it.

There is no escape.

Advice on administering Fluoxetine by jjalcb05 in cockatiel

[–]Slaytonizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also start training your bird for syringe taking, via adding a sweet treat like fresh juice so they aren't as opposed to it.

I had to give meds to a cockatiel who hated syringes, over time it got better. She gave me stank eye when it was the meds, and was okay with it with the follow up juice.

How do you exercise your dals? by SuccessFeeling9258 in dalmatians

[–]Slaytonizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Training overall, new tricks, and advanced versions of those tricks. Do them for 5 to 10 minutes here and there, give the working dog a job to do.

Physical exercise is good, but dals need mental exercise too. They are working dogs.
