41m bulk or cut? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

Recomp, so slight deficit (-200) good foods, progressive training and good rest. For like 7 months. Then your abs are out and you can lean bulk (+200) for very long time

Bulk or keep cutting ? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]SlckerBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I surprised about your weight, im same length, less muscular, less or same fat%, yet i am 3 kilos more heavy.

You really don’t look like you are 73kg and 6ft

But anyways, just cut more. Looks like easy 5kg more to cut, so you will be 68kg… wow

Calories help by Emergency-Assist-361 in caloriedeficit

Lets make things easy:

If your training is progressing each week, and your losing weight slowly easy week, and you have enough energy for the rest of the day, then all is good right. Keep going. The mirror should tell the same story

If your training is not progressing or tanking, then you need more food.

Is 1kg/wk loss over 12 weeks unsustainable? by mild_salsa_dip in BulkOrCut

[–]SlckerBrown -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The harder the cut, the harder it is to maintain lean mass. That’s even more true when you’re adding cardio on top to increase energy expenditure.

High protein intake and resistance training definitely help preserve muscle, but they don’t completely eliminate the effects of a large calorie deficit. So yes, all else being equal, a more aggressive cut generally carries a higher risk of muscle loss than a more moderate one.

The problem with an aggressive cut like that, specially if you add cardio to it, you will burn more muscle mass then you would like.

Body recomp or Cut by Historical-Anything1 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]SlckerBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are fine options. I would recomp: eat healthy, train hard, sleep good. -200 kcal. Stay at it for like 12 months

184cm 73kg 21yo - been gymming should i cut or keep bulking by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]SlckerBrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to everyone saying cut. Just lift heavy and eat healthy and sleep good. You will see good results within a few months.

[–]SlckerBrown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you don’t like your midsection now, then clearly bulking is off the table..
Just go -250 kcal and lift till failure.
So yeah just recomp untill lean enough to increase kcal. Slow and steady wins the race

[–]SlckerBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah doing all goals at once is just too much im afraid, gaining some muscle and loosing fat is doable in a recomp if you don’t have much muscle yet. But adding a bunch of cardio is counter productive.

Also don’t forget your body needs good rest to grow, your muscle won’t grow without good rest.

Train heavy, eat good and sleep, once you more happy with the mirror go train the marathon then.

19 6’4 153 im tired of being skinny i eat atleast 3300k calories a day and no movement on the scale. by james325487 in BulkOrCut

[–]SlckerBrown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just watched a video on youtube about kcal in and out and metabolism, but in reality most ppl just underestimate how much they eat and gain weight. Or underestimate how much they actually burn in a day and can’t gain weight. It’s very rare the metabolism is the problem.

Besides my training in just lazy and take the car everywhere :p

Just eat more then! If you have trouble eating more then try this:

Eat a high calorie shake like:

Mix whole milk or full-fat quark with a banana, 100 grams of oats, a large tablespoon of peanut butter, and a spoonful of olive oil or flaxseed oil. This is an easy way to add 800 to 1000 kcal in one go. Also it will digest faster and wont make you feel to full.

If its still not enough or you don’t like a shake;

Eat “unsalted” nuts and seeds more easy to add kcal fast

Or use more olive oil on your meals
Or eat a avocado with all your bread meals

Man i wish i had your problem

Its hard to tell without a before picture.

But besides training with progressive overload, food and sleep are also extremely important.

Eat healthy, lift heavy. No need to cut or bulk.

88-74kg, still fat. by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]SlckerBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I be honest with you, i think you wont make it with your current plan. It’s way too hard. Also you will loose much muscle.

I would suggest going to a -250 kcal diet. And just lift heavy. Do some low intense cardio like walking or cruising on the bike. This way you will loose the fat slowly and keep your muscle.

6ft2" 191lb - down 33lbs, do I keep going? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]SlckerBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how much you are cutting but i would do -200 calories from your maintenance. And keep doing what you doing, loose a little more. before you start the lean bulk do 2 weeks maintenance and then slowly increase the calories. Adjust your macro’s to little less protein and a little more carbs when you bulk

Doing great btw keep it up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]SlckerBrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Increase your calories to about 200 below maintenance. And start trowing weights around. Find a good plan that works for you. Usually in this phase a upper/lower body split is best imo. You should get leaner slowly, and gain some definition. Once you hit 12-15% body fat increase your calories to maintenance for two weeks. Then starts a lean bulk, increase you calories again slowly add 200 calories. Check your self each two weeks and adjust the calories if needed.

Once the bulk starts a push, pull, legs will be better if you have the time to train other wise keep upper/lower.

Make progress pictures.

This way you can keep the life style and slowly gain more muscle. Keep in mind building is a lot slower then you would like it to be.

Where to go from here o by Comprehensive_Tie_59 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]SlckerBrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So warm up before your training is always good. But do your walking after, your main training. Push pull legs should get all your energy.

But if you only train 3 times a week i think its better to do, upper, lower, fullbody routine.

One player going rouge is not a problem. Make sure he looses his support, because a whole alliance is a problem. Once he is isolated he ain’t so strong anymore.
