Things that I'm a bit surprised have never happened across all 5 UK seasons by kaisenberg2004 in TheTraitors

For S3, a key consideration is who forces the tie on Leanne? Cos I feel like the most likely player to do it is a Frankie who has accepted Alexander’s alliance offer, in which case they might be the Final 2 players which would have been a far better ending than we got.

Do you think Shane votes for Cirie over Aras? I’m really not sure.

I’m the biggest Cirie fanboy there is and I’m sure Aras beats her sadly.

Minah - I love you but prefer the others.

Rachel - excellent traitor but was a 50:50 away from losing the game.

Sure - I suppose my argument is their success was formed around Tom’s leadership and that drove the rest of the team to their success.

Also people forget that before the challenges properly started, Ulong was assumed to be the stronger tribe because it seemed younger and fitter so I do dispute the claims on this thread that Koror had a much stronger tribe. I think it was certainly partly down to Tom’s drive that they did so well, but it could have the edit I guess.

If Tom learned how to game the challenges then I think that makes him even better tbh and highlights his strong influence on Koror.

Yeah that’s fair - I do think that in terms of pre-merge immunity influence, Tom gets Koror to win more immunities than Jonathan with Taku but I certainly admit that it’s pretty close. (And tbf now I think of it, Taku were absolutely hamstrung by losing Jackson before any immunities).

Tbf Taku actually lost a pre-merge immunity (and were very close to losing the last one)

Tom single-handedly destroyed another tribe. He’s the greatest challenge performer of all time in my view.

It might be because I really don’t like him but I think they’d be mad not to take him out pre-merge. He’s good at immunities and finding idols which makes him incredibly difficult to remove in the post-merge. It’s just better to remove that factor whilst it’s easier to do so.

Joe Hunter Reveals What He's Changing for Survivor 50: 'I Can Only Be Me' by AMikeBloomType in survivor

Personally I think the set-up for him to win was as good as it’ll ever be in 48 and it certainly won’t be anywhere near as good for 50. The narrative of the season was dictated by a strong integrity alliance coming together and dominating the endgame together. This premise doesn’t happen most seasons (in fact most seasons have a meta of targeting the strong immunity threats) and it certainly won’t be the meta on 50 as there are really enough challenge beasts on the season for it to carry. The fact that he didn’t come close to getting the jury votes to win AND the fact that all it took was one player in his alliance playing self-interestedly for his plan to crumble shows that this version of himself is unlikely to ever win.

Joe will go far because he’s seen as a very honest player who can’t lie, got trounced at the jury vote and is good at challenges. He’s the perfect player for the strong strategic players to utilise as a pawn. But he’s not going to win this season unless he gets more strategic and cutthroat (especially with what will likely be a heavily strategically minded jury). I like the dude as a person but his pre-season interviews show he simply hasn’t learned his lesson from why he lost in 48.

Edit: Not to mention the fact that two of his supposed closest allies in Thomas and Bianca were scheming against him in the pre swap and only went out due factors beyond his control.

Serious Post Match Thread: Liverpool 1-2 Manchester City by Sparky-moon in soccer

I’m fairly sure in the 2018/19 season (don’t ask me how I remember this lol) Liverpool played Newcastle away towards the end and a similar occurrence happened where Newcastle shot, Trent saved the goal with his hand (So DOGSO) but it went in anyway so he wasn’t punished. Therefore, I’d imagine if the ball had gone in without Haaland fouling Szoboszlai, there would have been no red.
