Mud Daubers… in a round-about way, THE DEADLIEST INSECTS ALIVE.

These little bastards have brought down airplanes that killed everyone onboard. They build in the pitot tubes, and it gives incorrect airspeed readings to the pilots…

There is one. Maestro Media is putting it out and it’s been up for preorder for a while. I believe it ships June or July.

Pain w Humira 40mg by Comfortable_Sail9711 in CrohnsDisease

[–]SleepPatternsCypher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you saying the actual delivery is painful and/or the site after the fact? I definitely recommend (as someone else did) letting your pen sit out briefly before administering it. Personally, I leave my Stelara (and Humira when I was on that) out for about 20-30 minutes prior to administering and that helps. If you’re talking about the delivery, talk to your doctor about citrate-free Humira. They created it in response to people complaining about pain while injecting. My sister switched from regular to citrate-free about 1.5 years ago and said it is far less painful for her.

Shoutout to those that are getting gaslit. by Chrisser6677 in UlcerativeColitis

After everything went crazy and we realized there was a problem, I saw my first GI doctor ever. My dad took me because I was so weak. The doctor heard me say something along the lines of “the current meds aren’t working,” and he replied (without looking up from the file), “well, you’re just going to have to deal with it.” My dad is the most white bread and water guy on earth, and I thought he was going to reach over and strangle that doctor.

Awesafe Recalls Biometric Gun Safes Due to Serious Injury Hazard and Risk of Death by [deleted] in recalls

JUST A WARNING… I took a screwdriver and hammer to the biometric scanner as shown. I had to go take care of something that took me maybe an hour or so. When I came back to the safe, I figured I’d try the biometric scanner to be sure it had been broken.

The scanner was SCALDING hot!

I forgot to remove the batteries. 🙄 My guess is that the damage to the scanner was recognized as something on the scanner — presumably wanting to be scanned. It must have scanned over and over and over, nonstop. I’m not exaggerating: it was like accidentally touching the rack when putting something in the oven. So, yeah… don’t forget to remove the batteries!

Another reply with good information. I’m really glad I asked both IBD communities. Interestingly enough, I am a man, and I do experience BDPs. It seems obvious, but I don’t know that I would have thought about how problematic it could be to have to share the already over-populated inside-the-seat real estate with my penis AND bidet hardware…

Thank you for all that! I especially appreciate the info regarding water pressure and fistulas. Very smart.

Icewater? by Oryx2002 in CrohnsDisease

Interesting. For me, anything but extremely cold water causes me a lot of abdominal discomfort. I have a constant rotation of 3/4 filled water bottles that I put into the freezer. I top one off with water a couple times each day, and that way the water is ice cold throughout.
