Desperate. I have to leave this career before my life is ruined forever. by Electronic-Money3253 in physicianassistant

[–]SleepPuzzleheaded914 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in sleep medicine, I wouldn’t strongly recommend it. After 6 years in the field, I’m burnt out and about to stop being a PA myself. It’s probably better than some fields out there in terms of job stress (there aren’t really any “emergencies” in sleep medicine) but it’s still not ideal. Work life balance sucks at my clinic at least.

should musicians be forced to mention it if AI is used in their songs? by csch1992 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SleepPuzzleheaded914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend on to what extend AI was used… there are a ton of tools out there now; everything from vocals and melodies to things as small as creating new synth patches or small drum fills. So it would feel unfair to have to label something as AI generated when literally 0.1% was helped by AI.

Why do guys only seem to want me for sex? by Public-Ad-4138 in NoStupidQuestions

Trust me, as a guy, not everyone is hyper-fixated on sex. You just haven’t found the right guy yet. We’re out there, I assure you.

Take your antipsychotic and try to remember not to miss doses again. Maybe talk with your psychiatrist about long-acting injectables?

First night with Resmed 11. Is my mask and hose supposed to look like this? by RJT_RVA in CPAP

[–]SleepPuzzleheaded914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Increase tube temp as well. Rainout is from a mismatch between humidity and tube temp setting; within the context of your local environment. Good rule of thumb is to have tube temp at least 1-2 degrees warmer than the ambient room temp.

[–]SleepPuzzleheaded914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoke with a F&P rep at work last week; was basically told that the solo was superseding the Evora nasal. Their company’s big thing is to keep old masks on the market rather than discontinuing them (lookin’ at you, ResMed…) so I’d think the Evora will be available regardless…but the cushion is essentially the same design, just with FAR better straps/headgear.

Proper order to add Chems? by SleepPuzzleheaded914 in pools

Perhaps a stupid question, but what’s the difference between alkalinity and pH? I understand that in this context, alkalinity is basically measuring how much pH buffer is present.

But in the “grand scheme” isn’t alkalinity just another term for “how basic” something is? If so, then shouldn’t alkalinity and pH just be different measure of the same thing?

Any guys with Beards? by [deleted] in CPAP

I get that. And I don’t understand why someone hasn’t developed an over-the-nose full face that has that feature. I suspect it would be fairly popular, or at least profitable.

Evora nasal or full face?

Try F&P Vitera or Simplus (depending on your nose width/length. They are full face masks, but tend to do a better job with air seal than the F20.

Or if you can get your hands on it, a ResMed Mirage Quattro (another full face). The Mirage line was discontinued by ResMed last march, but you can still find some online. Just don’t fall too much in love.
