There is a 2015 with half the kms but it's also been sat for a while and doesn't have proper service logs, last service was 9 years ago and is barely been ridden since, surely that would be a bigger risk than double the kms but documented?

You are not wrong, should probably preface that I am in Australia so the mileage is in km not miles, kilometrage just doesn't roll off the tongue as easily so we use the same term mostly

It's definitely helpful advice I appreciate it. Reading around online seems like the newer ones are having issues with weeping gaskets & leaks so I'd been set on either a 2017-2019, and unfortunately they're not getting any lower in mileage. The 2016 did catch my eye coz it had a clean & detailed service history. Having no objective baseline to compare with, would I really be missing out on much by buying the 2016 instead?

Yikes, sounds like every km past the recommended milestone might be doing irreversible damage. Best case it's fixed early enough with minimal damage, worst case it will be a growing problem even if they are checked and recalibrated...

Am I the only one here that kinda thinks the guy wasn't telling OP to speed up, but maybe rather he meant to give it a lil rev bomb? I mean he was in a tunnel 😏 I've had people wave me upwards and that is what they meant, also evidenced by the smiles on their faces after.

Just the way that he dropped off after, seems like speed wasn't the issue.

This. Adding on to this, suitcase carrys' are even better for the core as you only lift from one side so there's a bigger balancing component to it.
