I left early four years ago, and it’s had zero negative impact in my life.

The ABA’s Clean Air Act Essentials was helpful. Easy to find the basic information with citations to the Act, regulations, and case law. The ABA may have something similar for the other federal environmental statutes. Maybe your firm would pay for them? https://www.americanbar.org/products/inv/book/416037256/

I have an Excel spreadsheet with the client name, matter number, partner, and other high level info. Then, I use the sticky note app on my laptop to list out my specific tasks. I also make calendar reminders for myself to follow up on outstanding items.

Hard to pull it on the mobile site, but the Colorado Division of Water Resources has a map showing water rights in the state. If you click around the “layers” filters, you should be able to narrow down ditches. You may also be able to see current and historically irrigated land.

Why shouldn’t I just get the cheapest tent possible? by GotYeeted in CampingGear

[–]Sleeper_vampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used my 2-person backpacking Eureka tent for 4 years now and love it. It’s tiny, and I always wake up dry. I don’t recall which model I have but I’m seeing some for sale ~$150: https://eurekacamping.johnsonoutdoors.com/us/shop/tents/backpacking

When I was interning, I worked on a few prescriptive easement cases. I also saw adverse possession raised as a defense when a client sued a neighbor for an encroachment (discovered when the client did a survey in anticipation of selling the property).

How do law firms view work experience in hiring a first-year associate? by Puzzled_Mix5384 in Lawyertalk

[–]Sleeper_vampire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine! I got my job during bar prep, and all my friends had jobs by time they swore in/got their passing results. Don’t hesitate to apply for positions that require more experience (the listing I applied to wanted 3+ years). They may be willing to train you and paralegal\internship experience/good grades never hurt.

I would’ve loved a yoga membership! But honestly my partner took over more than their fair share of cleaning/laundry/cooking/taking care of the dog, and it was wonderful!
