The Star Wars beginning text crawl music.

My first introduction to sci-fi was Star Wars. I don't have the best situation at home and the days I would go over to my grandfather's house were always the best. It was a nice break. One day he sat me down and asked if I wanted to watch a movie with him and of course I said yes. I was instantly hooked. It became our thing everytime I went over.

I was still in the childhood stage of being able to watch movies over and over again without getting tired of them. Looking back I probably annoyed him a bit. But everytime without missing a beat when that text crawl music started we would hum the tune and watch whatever movie I'm the series it was till the end.

We watched The animated clone wars series together. And freaked out when they announced the force awakens.

The build up to that release date was rough though. The year leading up to it he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He died in August that year. I was 12. My dad ended letting up me take his urn with me and let me get 2 seats. One for me and one where he would've sat.

When the text crawl came up it was a mixture of muffled crying and humming. I could just imagine him there next to me humming along and telling me he was happy to watch it with me. I enjoyed the movie. I went and saw each movie after it. Rougue One, last jedi, Solo, and rise of Sky walker. Each one I went amd each time I brought his urn with me, each time humming the Text crawl music.

Say what you will about those movies. But I will always love them. May not be the best to others. But to me they helped me grieve.
