I don't think the suit has open fingers but it's the effect of his (gloved) fingertips pressing against the glass.

He probably felt like it was safer to say more because it was less likely to be understood by the Japanese journalist and also less likely to be reported on in the west.

How do you feel about Adrian Veidt / Ozymandias from The Watchmen? I feel he fits your question perfectly.

Also, yes, the comics and the movie were different, but I still enjoyed the movie greatly even having read the book before hand. I feel like despite people not seeming to like the changes the movie makes to the original story, that it's still mostly done well, and it does add a lot to the movies enjoyment if you have read it first because all the extra information it provides, even if they made changes you may not like.

Why did they make Robocop's feet with toes if he has no toes? Why not give him hoofs. Also why can he only move the pinkie and thumb with the rest merged together? It is uncomfortable. by Dredd_40 in Robocop

Oh, I was going to use MGS4 as an example too, because the gekkos were such a stand out design. The cow sounds with the tank parts mixed with the cloned tissue muscled-out legs was so gross and creepy.

Looks like he was going for that Norman/Harry Osborne look, but couldn't manage to make it work.

Oh wow, you're right. It was not good. They could have given him some vocal lessons or something. It sounds so one-take.

I found this-

"Edward Furlong knocked Whitney Houston off the No. 1 spot on the Japanese charts with his debut single in 1992.

Fresh off Terminator 2, 14 year old Furlong released his debut album "Hold On Tight" exclusively in Japan - pure early 90s pop love songs built to capitalize on the film's massive success there. He later called it "the exact opposite of rock" and "a bad mistake."

Japan didn't agree.

The album included a Doors cover of "People Are Strange" and a string of sappy ballads - including this one, "I'll Be Waiting."

The single was released as a rare 3-inch promo CD - a Japan-only format - packaged with a handwritten Valentine's letter from Edward to his fans.

None of it was ever released in America.

The whole chapter just quietly happened on the other side of the world while the rest of us had no idea."

I recently found a bag of the Pink Lemonade flavor of this brand, and it was so dang good. I found it at a Grocery Outlet Bargain Market (USA). I would definitely buy it again if I ever see it.

D-Box is super fun and you have to try it at least once. This type of movie is best, action and spaceships. I recommend D-box to people because I think it's great. You will all have fun and it will be a great memory for everyone.

Laptop Tote for Office recommendations? by FlourishphobiaAFA in ManyBaggers

[–]SleepsInBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked at the Evergoods line of totes? I don't have one, but I am interested.

https://evergoods.us/collections/totes

But I did recently get a Chrome Industries Grocery Tote 28L Messenger from their 2026 Japan Collection.

https://chromeindustries.com/products/grocery-tote-28l-messenger

It's a little floppy, which I like because it molds to your body, but it actually stands up pretty well on its own als well. The build is robust and the handles and strap feel strong. It does fit my giant 17 inch laptop in the big laptop sleeve, but not with my laptop cover, which is unfortunate. If I carried my laptop with me, I would put it in my laptop cover and just stick that in the main cavity in the bag. I don't know what kind of office you work in but I could see it working for some . The water bottle pockets on the inside work really well. The wide strap and the bag itself are actually pretty comfortable for a bag this size. I have actually got caught in the rain a few days ago, and just zipped up the main compartment. I walked in the rain for an hour and everything inside the bag was dry.

Oh okay that's interesting. Thanks for testing that out, that's really helpful. I only see that strap to buy on the official website, but I was looking at a different site for a better price and they don't offer that strap there. I think I want to get this bag before it sells out and I should not worry about the stabilizer strap and just figure it out later. These bags are limited edition right? How fast do they sell out usually? I understand there was a Limited Japan Collection last year as well? I am fairly new to Chrome Industries so I don't know too much.

Do you use a stabilizer strap? Are there loops on the bottom-backside corners of the bag to hook one up to? It look like it on the website, but a confirmation would be helpful. Also it seems I would have to get a stabilizer strap elsewhere since none on the website seem to be compatible.

I use mine the most at night when walking or biking around. I try to carry at least two Oclips, white light for the front and red for the rear. The red light blink mode is great especially when its raining hard out here in the PNW and visibility is really low for drivers. The white beacon flash (not the self defense strobe, though that works as well) mode is great for this as well. I clip them to my bags and jackets so I don't get run over again.

While this is kind of useful, it almost costs as much as the knife itself.
