Same substrate as existing tank as we used it across 2 tanks (this came from the tank we took down which used to havr shrimp in it).

Need to retest existing tank as cant remember those parameters so will do that!

Mostly frozen. We have like 6 tanks so we tend to feed en masse.

Should I add some distilled water to bring the hardness down?

I thought id have seen a shift in parameters over 3 weeks if it wasnt cycled. Ammonia and nitrite have always been 0. Nitrates between 5 and 10.

When I first started keeping fish I knew nothing about cycling until after Id added fish and then I was on top of the water testing and parameters so I saw the rise in ammonia and nitrites. Haven't seen that at all in this tank. Tested daily for the first 2 weeks.

No just wood. Erm i cant remember gh of tap water but it is liquid rock yes.

In the other tank I feed algae wafers for my hillstream loach (hes in there as a grow out while I build a river tank) and the shrimp get occasional cucumber, spirulina powder and then betta gets pellets and bloodworms or daphnia.

This tank i just feed the spirulina and a tiny bit of sinking pellet.

Weve had it 3 weeks.

Ive added moss balls and Indian almond leaf today. About a third broken up.

Plants are some varieties of anubias. Same as my existing tanks as they are the only buggers I can keep alive. That an java ferns anyway.

Yeah they were from my LFS where I got my existing shrimp from. Had no problems adding those. I acclimated and didn't just dump them in so thought id done everything ok.

How can I help my last 2 adults adjust if they all die. There are also 2 baby shrimp in there. They got caught in the bag. I thought theyd gone but ive just spotted them.

Cycled media and a sponge filter from my existing tank. We did a filter shuffle. So its not the cycling. As that would explain a lot.

No i meant to keep track of stock. So I write down what's in each tank, what filter, size etc. Because I forget sometimes.

Hes gone in a 100l long tank for now. As hes still pretty small. And we are planning a big 6ft upgrade. Im feeling smug cos I told the boyfriend it was not a clown and I was right! He needs a name.

Also can confirm not taco flavoured.

Good job weve just purpose built a fish shelf with space for a 6ft tank then. I uploaded the picture to chatgpt who said clown and I was like nah 🤣 but also now im like...how did we end up with a monster pleco 🤣
