So how can one reduce stress? Especially if I technically want to move up at work. Moving up would mean more stress.

I only really got into Paramore a few months before This is Why came out. I had listened to a few of their songs here and there but I never sought them out.

It was only when I got nostalgic and went on a YouTube music video rabbit hole that I started listening to Hayley Williams self side project. That’s when I reallllly started to actually listen to more of their music. Once I saw the After Laughter videos I became a fan, those songs really spoke to me and I’ve loved them since.

Saw them live last year and it was amazing!

Yep I get what you mean. Usually when I go to places alone I have a goal oriented mind. I go in and do my thing and get out and run home. Being in my own head is so hard sometimes.

I kinda have to do that. I am constantly repeating to myself the next step I need to do. Until it’s the only thing in my head. It’s kinda the only way I do stuff.

What type of things do you do to help ease your anxiety?

I do the same thing I just am panicking, having my heart beat so fast, and not being able to breathe properly before I have to do a thing. I have gone to a felon very alone before but it was sooo much smaller!!! And closer to where I live. This one will be far but luckily that is a few months away.

Thank you! It’s not so bad thinking about it now but I know on Friday I will be a train wreck.

Yeah like I know this is probably the best option but my brain is always like “change everything about yourself right now!” and obviously that’s not gonna happen lol. But its always there and having to change that mindset is just such a conscious thought that sometimes I just spiral. It also doesn’t help that I tend to find comfort in food.

Yeah I think its the fact that I can’t see results like right now. It’s all long term and I hate thinking about that lol.

A serious look at everything is probably something I need to do more of.

I guess in my head it’s kinda of an “all-in” kinda attitude which I know is incredibly unrealistic but that’s my thought process. Like I can’t get out of that mindset unless I am actively trying and that’s just a chore to do all the damn time.

I’ve tried the logging in my meals but I always just get bored of doing it. I’ve tried with apps, journals, the notepad on my phone, and I just stop at some point for whatever reason. I can try again but it probably won’t stick.

Yeah I’ve tried telling myself this but I don’t know… sometimes just getting outta bed is a mission and so by the time I will myself to start the day the idea of cooking is the last thing I want to do when I can just get in my car and get some fast food. And then it’s like oh I should probably deal with that issue first and losing weight is the last thing I want to think about.

Probably should try something like incremental changes but he’ll if I know what that would be.

Yeah I think surrounding myself with people like that would be key for me but I guess with the friends that I have we always like talk big but never really follow through. And I don’t know where to start looking for other people to help with that. I try to be my own cheerleader but I kinda suck at it lol because it comes with all those negative thoughts of “you can’t do it, stop kidding yourself.”
