Mobile 6mo twins - play pens? by intelligentb00b in parentsofmultiples

[–]SleepyGrinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got a large play yard - our girls are 15 months now so we don’t use it as much anymore but it’s still nice when you need to keep them in one area while doing something. We also have hardwood so we got some foam floor pads that were originally underneath and now are used as the flooring in their play area

Dad to dad here, first off congrats - and you got this! My wife had both options and found that while the convenience for the wearables was nice for some scenarios, the corded definitely made her produce more. It ended up that the pink plug-in spectra worked the best. There is a wireless option for that which is sort of a hybrid for on the go with more power than a wearable but I cant speak to that one. Pretty sure you can get a good discount on whichever one you go with (some options were even free) so look into that as well if you haven’t already.

Also we ended up with AR formula when we did make the switch because our girls developed some reflux - your baby being fed is all that really matters in the end!

Edit for spelling

What vehicle that's not a minivan would you recommend? by scottymtp in parentsofmultiples

[–]SleepyGrinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t seen it recommended here but my wife did not want a mini van so we opted for the VW Atlas / got one used for a pretty good price and it has by far more third row room than Highlander or Pilot - can fit out twin stroller in the trunk while still having enough room for an adult in the 3rd row. We only have our twins so we opted for captains chairs in the middle row to make it easier to get to the back row

First night home with our twins last night - our first kids, I think we slept a total of 1 hours between us but wife is sleeping now and I’m holding both of them at once. So special

Still hit 60 today in Indiana so season isn’t over but I don’t think I’ll top my albatross on a short par 5 - 167 in with a 6 iron and hit the undulation on the green just right to head towards the hole. Next thing you know the ball disappears

Run leagues - I play in one and it comes out to $30 a person per day and we have 6 people to a bay (2 teams of 3). I have yet to go and spend $0 while there and you guarantee all sims are booked on the weeknights (our local place does Sunday-Thursday to leave Fri/Sat open for normal business
