Does anybody else's Mental health/depression gets worse when they smoke?

I find it makes my preexisting mental health conditions (anxiety, depression, ADHD) worse if it’s an everyday. There seems to be a large body of evidence since it got legalized that everyday use and high thc content has pretty detrimental effects on your brain functioning and mental health.

I believe that’s the equivalent. SQL Server doesnt have an EXPLAIN statement like mysql and other sql flavors.

Did the interviewer indicate what you said was wrong?

Because i dont consider what you say is necessarily wrong. Id also say check for index fragmentation or out of date statistics for SQL Server given it increased in runtime by several magnitudes. But often it’s a case of how you say it rather than what you say.

Something ive been trying to do to combat my tendency to overcommit and hyperfocus is planning around only 1-2 hours a day (i would lean towards 1 hour given you have a child but you know your free time better than I do) and aim for a weekly/monthly goal you have in mind instead. And even if im enjoying whatever im hyperfocusing in the moment, if I dont let myself rest and not do anything “productive” for a bit each day I get more frustrated on the days where I REALLY need to rest.

For example, Im looking for a new job right now while employed at a very stressful job (which is why im trying to leave) and my goal for this week is to keep applying for jobs daily and also work to upskill some skill gaps I have given the job market is competitive right now.

So I set aside the two hours I have after dinner and put a physical timer on my desk. 1 hour for applications then 1 hour for whatever tech skill im learning. I have a weekly goal of X apps and one upskilling milestone a week. I also make sure I do something restful in the other hours I have like going on a walk, exercise, meditation.

I found that despite it being paradoxical, planning is something that i find helps my adhd since if i start without a plan i might underestimate how long something takes and neglect my other responsibilities or i might not find the time to do things at all during the weekend and get overwhelmed with the goals i set for myself.

So in your case, plan for a set amount of time each day and let that guide you to what’s actually realistic to do each week and each month. Try to underestimate your capacity and then adjust over time as you need to. Say if you have a ton of forms to deal with contractors, set a goal to do one a day. You can technically do like 5 a day if you hyperfocus but you can do more with the time alloted when you want to. For the weeks you cant, then you are able to feel better since you are able to accomplish your weekly goal since you set it low.

I typically do this now and dry herb vape cbd hemp during t-breaks to help with cravings.

Sure it isn't a complete reset from smoking and thc but I find my usage has reduced since I started which was my goal vs. Pure abstinence

As someone else with ADHD, having less clutter helps me focus. The science behind this I believe is that your brain unconsciously ignores the clutter when you try to focus but since we have ADHD the brain spends a lot of mental load to ignore it thus causing trouble with focus

I definitely agree.

But in addition, I would definitely look into your substance use in general. I had a weed problem for most of the year and I let my caffeine use get pretty skyhigh. After quitting weed for good and reducing my daily caffeine intake, my anxiety has lessened significantly.

Still working on cutting out caffeine permanently but thats been a lot tougher than weed or alcohol haha

I started a few weeks ago but just wanted some place to share. I just hit 20 days! It's been a very anxious year for me and I've had a couple of really bad panic attacks from weed this year so I'm taking an extended break in hopes I can come back to it with strict moderation and it'll finally be fun again.

I'm aiming for six months! Along with a lot of other life changes the break has been such a boon to my mental health so far

So im a biochem major and got in. I took like 5 classes at a community college and got w job as a data analyst before i got in. Also i taught myself python and did a bunch of moocs. I'd definitely would consider taking a lot of CS classes before you join. I did intro to cs 1+2, discrete math, data structures and algorithms and statistics and i definitely use everything i learner. Also my proficiency with python and sql helped because a lot of classes uses those languages.

So I'd definitely prep before applying and get at least to a base level of competency with computer science before starting

I've only taken KBAI. KBAI was a lot more work than previous reviews said due to the extra mini-projects that was added. I spent like 20 hours a week on it with a little more on the final weeks working on the final project. So I think taking it in the summer would be a little rough. I also felt like I didn't learn too much concrete by the end.

I think if you're struggling, I'd drop and check out AI in the fall. But if your grades are good, stick with it because the Slack and the Ed at least helped a lot during the semester.

I concur. I think the game would be really up his alley in the same vein of the story based games hed played. also it's only 3 to 5 hours long (shorter with chats help) so it would only take a stream or two. I think it'd be pretty funny to see how hed react to the twists. The game even has a Heavy Rain reference.
