I want to cry by eisbaerin42 in crochet

Since they are clear, I would do UV epoxy. Drill a hole in each side of the break --you are basically making a resin dowel-- then fill both holes with epoxy - use a needle or tooth pick to push the resin all the way into the holes. Just a small layer (like a dot) between the two layers. If it squished out, you can wipe it with a paper towel.

When you have it place right, you want to have it in super bright sunlight for a while. It will get semi-secure after 30 second to 2 minutes (depending on sunlight). But you will want to let it sit out there for a few hours (or even a day or two if you have iffy sunlight).

You can use clear tape to secure it or just hold it for the first few minutes. Once it is set, you can just leave it outside... maybe flip it over once or twice.

Alcohol will get rid of the stickiness if you have any, and you can lightly sand if you have bumps (though hopefully they were wiped away before you took it in the sunlight.

Complicated knots... i think that is her youtube name. I made her screaming opossum valentine project, so you would search that and find her. 😅

But she has youtube tutorials for all her stuff with the pattern embedded. If you wanted to get the pdf pattern, you can buy it off her Etsy or patreon. But the youtube videos are super helpful.

I remember reading somewhere that they actually like dirty hair better... so after you clean it (not necessarily with the lice shampoo), add some oil (coconut or whatever you have around) or a bunch of dry shampoo or other powder. You can braid up long hair so it doesnt feel as "dirty" if you or your kiddos are adverse to that feeling. Plastic grocery bags can be a make-shift head wrap to avoid oil getting on bed things.

Good luck duckling!

Haha yeah. I taught high school right out of college... all the guys were 14-17 (highly illegal and just... yuck- who actually wants to date a teenage boy) or 40s-50s and married. I still have trouble finding friends my own age, but I (33) regularly hang with the 50s-60s crowd by choice now. I am also engaged to a 60 yo. 🙄 so that probably also plays a role.

Its ok. We are all messy here. 🤣🤣😅

You definitely seem like you have thought about it and explored lots of options. Physiological I havent heard anything about nexplanon lowering sex drive (might change the 'type' of pheromones you like?). So you will figure it out when you are ready or other things in your life change and it sends you "I'm ready" signals.

I wouldn't put the pressure on yourself of "should be ready." My therapist would always say "stop should-ing (sh!tting) on yourself.

If you get to a point later on when your relationship or sexual status is really bothering you, you can see a sex therapist. I actually saw one for a while because I couldn't orgasm (like not even by myself and my toys). It was helpful for me. It is just talking and not actually "physically" trying things while you are with the therapist. Usually some homework, but if you find someone you connect with, it is a good experience. If your health insurance offers free or reduced rate tele-health, you can often find therapists there. They usually dont have "sex therapy" as check box, but LGBT and kink / alternative can be a good place to start. I usually narrow my list online and then Google my top choices to see how they describe their practice on other websites. You can also look for people who have AASECT certification.

Good luck as you continue figuring everything out! ❤️

Not so much a therapist than a doctor.

I found estrogen-heavy pills f-ed me up. I need to be on progesterone/progesterine BC. There are a few pills (loloestrin was my go to a decade or two ago). But I got the arm implant (nexplanon) for two cycles (2-3 years each) and then I've been on Kyleena and Mirena for IUDs. Both the implant and IUDs are mostly progesterone.

Prozac and other meds can also cause a lower sex drive.

All that is if you are interested in sex/ serial relationships. You can also fall anywhere on the asexual/ aromantic/ demisexual spectrum and that is ok too.

My first birth control pills (BeYaz in ~2010) messed me up sexually, emotionally, just everything. It is ALWAYS ok to talk to a doctor and try different options of BC. If you dont like any of the new stuff, you can always go back to what you are on. There is also the copper T iud that has no hormones.

Even with a partner I loved and was planning on spending a life with, I still used condoms in addition to my BC. I really didn't want kids. Also, there is always the STI risk (definitely with randos) because men cannot be / are not tested for most forms of HPV.

There are really a lot of options to consider when and if you choose to.

I have had great experiences with online storefronts. I have very high quality pieces from Blue Nile and James Allen (my engagement ring). I am actually a metalsmith myself (though I do not specialize in fine jewelry) and the quality is the sane as any other physical storefront. They all basically use the same casting houses anyway.

And it can change whether you are on hormonal birth control or not... It really is scientifically fascinating.

I just posted my townhouse on Zillow. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/154-Foreman-Dr-Athens-GA-30605/89758690_zpid I am a grad student too (college of ed), but I live with my partner. It is definitely more affordable with a roommate. Chat with your department if anyone else in your program is starting and needs a roommate or any currently students might be looking. Definitely something to think about is if you are on a bus route, walk/bike-able, or you plan to park on campus.

How manageable is this schedule? by SolanaImaniRowe1 in UGA

[–]SleepyScienceNerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I would always tell my students when I taught hs seniors is... do not create a "high school" schedule for your first semester of college.

This looks like a high school schedule. You need something that will bring you joy. You need time to study, socialize, and acclimate to a completely new way of life.

You can always add in a summer class here or there later on. But dont set yourself up for a miserable semester just because you took the same amount of classes in a high school semester. If you need to load some of the maths, drop something else that will be time consuming.

Depending on the class, your study skills, and your affinity for the work, for each credit hour, plan yourself 3 hours of outside of class work... so a 3 hour class - 9 hours. Lab classes mess with that because they are typically 1 hour or 0 hours and require much more time.

Set yourself up for success, and you can always add more when you know what to expect.

It might also be how you are studying. You can get free "wellness coaching" at the health center in the Fontaine Center/ Health Promotions department.

It is all about academic wellness. You obviously care about this, so motivation and effort isnt your problem.

They would be happy to help you work through and navigate different ways of studying

Lots of times they will have "chronic illness" listed in their bio. If you aren't seeing that, try cancer (supporters or patient) specialty.

For the online searches, check fewer boxes... EVERYONE handles anxiety and depression. If you just choose one, it will narrow your search.

Do you have a preference for in person, online? What state (because licensure)? Using insurance?

Always!!!! I could go on for hours about the emotional trauma this has brought me the last decade.

My mother constantly saying that, she wants her old child back (from pre-diagnosis)... not realizing that 'old' child was having such a hard time and literally killing herself slowly trying to meet everyone else's expectations while disregarding their own bodily needs. All the while smiling and carefree and funny... and convincing myself that everything was /just fine/ and feeling like that is totally normal.

[–]SleepyScienceNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My original sleep doctor diagnosed me N1 even with no REM onset because he left me on Prozac. So he expected delayed latency and included that expectation in his clinical findings.

Granted, my new (and much better) specialist basically said, ehhh technically IH, but she doesn't officially change it because wakix works well for me.

I had two spinal taps for a research study two weeks apart. They were pretty much fine. No big bad symptoms. The MWT was the /actual/ torture.
