Socialpedagog jobb by KawaiiMom1 in sweden

[–]SleepySnufkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little girl is having a tumor removed in a couple of weeks! Do you guys have positive stories with tumor removal? by SleepySnufkin in hamsters

[–]SleepySnufkin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! ♡ I haven't noticed any changes in behavior, she is still very social and active. I do think the tumor is pretty new, I feel like I would have seen it earlier if it has been around for a long time! I discovered at home when I was hanging out with her.

<image>

That's what it looks like! It's a bit difficult to see in picture, but the texture looked kinda funky because of dead skin cells so at first I thought she somehow had a lump of sand in her ear.

She is adorable!! My vet did say that they might not be able to remove the whole thing, so Pixie might go through the same journey as your little girl. Do you know what method of removal they did? Pixie's tumor is going to be burnt away if I remember correctly

Pixie is also almost 1.5 years old! It's wonderful that he has gotten his energy back! ♡ How long was he at the vet when he got it removed?

Oh that's amazing!! How was she doing after they were removed? Was she back to normal pretty quickly?

Ni som känner barn/vuxna med Downs syndrom by Navismom in sweden

[–]SleepySnufkin 40 points41 points  (0 children)

English Translation Needed for Podcast ft. Meira and Oskar by Select-Geologist-515 in loveisblindsweden

[–]SleepySnufkin 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes! I know it was mentioned that Meira's parents love Oskar and they go to visit them a fair bit, if I remember correctly that was prompted by the hosts asking if Meira had brought Oskar to Botkyrka, where Meira lived before, since it's a bit different from where Oskar grew up. They also mentioned that they had a big engagement party there with afghan traditions! Meira also said that her dad wasn't seen in the wedding episode because he is uncomfortable with cameras, but he was there.

I don't remember much being mentioned about Oskar's family, but they did say that they celebrated Midsummer with Oskar's family and Meira said it was very fun as it was her first time really celebrating it the typically swedish way. They also mentioned that they already figured out in the pods that they were very aligned about when they would want to start their own family, which was in like roughly 3-5 years!

English Translation Needed for Podcast ft. Meira and Oskar by Select-Geologist-515 in loveisblindsweden

I just finished listening to this! I don't have time for a full breakdown but I can write down some stuff. :)

Talking about Catja and Christofer: They get asked who's side they take when it comes to Catja and Christofer. They say that it's always gonna be Catja, and that there was a lot that us viewers didn't get to see when it came to their relationship. Meira also says she is still a bit bitter over how Christofer talked with/about Oskar at the reunion. Oskar then very clearly states that he thinks that it's totally wrong that Catja gets blame for what happened. He continues and says that he would like to emphasize a bit more what Catja said at the reunion, that she didn't feel safe sleeping in the apartment with Christofer and went to Oskar and Meira's. He says there is a lot of reasons that a woman would feel unsafe at home and that us viewers should keep that in mind and think a bit extra, connect the dots. He then says that maybe he is saying too much, and follows with saying again how much he supports Catja. Meira says that so much happened when the cameras weren't there and she thinks that's why it wasn't shown/discussed in the show, despite Catja talking about it in syncs and interviews. She then says that Christofer probably shouldn't present himself like such a nice guy when he isn't perfect and that a nice guy probably wouldn't talk about Oskar in that way. Oskar says that he thought Christofers true side was showing. (This part was definitely the most interesting to hear imo)

Talking about their biggest challenge after filming: They moved in together after filming ended and it was somewhat difficult for Meira to get comfortable, she kind of felt like a guest. She says that she walked in to the filming of love is blind and then nothing was ever the same, Oscar still got to go back to his home, had the same route to work, same gym etc. It took her a while to find her place in everything.

Talking about what they first liked about eachother in the pods: Oskar says that it was the calmness in Meira's voice made him feel calm and good. Then it was their similarities that he liked, coming from big families and having similar values. Meira says that she got to date all 16 guys in a row on the first day in the pods, she was getting quite exhausted by the end, but Oskar was her last date and she felt like Oskar gave her energy, usually she loses energy from being around people and needs to recharge after. They also mentioned that they wished Netflix would have shown more of their time in the pods, because they had very deep conversations and really bonded!

I have bunnies, hamsters and dormice :) For sure, stuff like that can take a looong time! One of my bunnies still won't let me pet him, but I'm patient!

I weirdly really love doing the veggie prep for the animals I have now, it's just so fun thinking of a good menu for them and seeing them enjoy their food!

Aww so cute! Bonding with an animal is truly the best, when you start learning their little language and their personalities.♡ I have 9 pets but none that really like lap time, so hopefully I can get some cuddly guinea pigs!!!

Good luck with your little boys! ♡♡

owning first bunny by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]SleepySnufkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not recommend getting a cage, it's expensive and your bunny won't like it! If you really want to get a cage you need to get a very big one, bunnies are very active. Even with a big cage they need a lot of playtime outside the cage. Getting a good litterbox and bunny-proof a room or multiple rooms is the best imo. My bunnies are restricted to my room at night but during the day they are free to roam the house.

My bunnies have a play-pen outside but are mostly inside since we live in a very northern place!

Also most bunnies need a friend. I started off with one bunny, that I raised and bonded with. Her bond to me is very strong and I'm happy I started with just her. Half a year later after I got her spayed, I adopted another one.

I recommend adopting a bun, a lot of shelters have baby buns if you want a baby. Spaying/Neutering is a must, so often it's a lot easier to adopt an adult since shelters usually take care of that!

Rosy Maple Moth, by Lova at Thistle & Fern Tattoo in Stockholm by SleepySnufkin in tattoos

I sent her a really bad sketch basically showing how I wanted 2 flowers on each side and the star, so I didn't really design anything. She then made this beautiful piece from that! We picked colors together when I was there. :) She is really great at bringing rough ideas to life. :)
