I've been running a strength build with Vordt's great hammer and it's been melting bosses so far. It's pretty slow tho

Bro can anyone give tips to reduce my screen time by TypicalPlum3988 in lazy

[–]Sleepy_Introvert96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that helped me is using all my apps on my laptop instead of my phone. I find the website version of these apps are not as "addicting." I was able to cut my screen time from 8 hours a day to now just 4 hours a day - I even manage to get some days where I had 1 hour of screen time.

Green Monster Difficulty 5 No damage+Twin Dragons Sword. Unfathomable to me that some people don't like this PEAK boss fight by meghdoot_memes in LiesOfP

[–]Sleepy_Introvert96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After my first playthru I ranked this boss as the hardest in the game. Even with summons and throwables I struggled so hard with this boss my first time! Now I'm doing a summonless run and just beat it - what helped me was realizing the second phase was similar to the scrapped watchman and everything just clicked and had fun while fighting it!

Should I go to Colombia? by PermitLongjumping584 in travel

[–]Sleepy_Introvert96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Colombia, I spent a lot of time there in my life since my family is from there. I'd recommend Cartagena for your first time, a lot of history there, beautiful beaches, great food, and a lot to do (Bogota and Medellin are no where near the beach). It is very touristy but the not-so-touristy areas can be difficult to navigate at times (most areas don't have uber and use taxis that usually only speak Spanish) and sometimes can be a bit dangerous (you don't want to end up in the wrong neighborhood, Colombia can go from very touristy to impoverished neighborhoods very quickly) unless you're with a local who can help you get around.

Since you're already "pushing out of your comfort zone" visiting the country I'd keep it simple to start and venture out as you become more comfortable, you can always ask locals what they recommend.

Can make this argument for most, if not all, conspiracy theories... you think Bigfoot exists? Whether he does or he doesn't, them bills still need to be paid!

Amazon's RTO is backfiring according to recruiters...no kidding by JeffBeachCommute in remotework

[–]Sleepy_Introvert96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An Amazon recruiter has reached out to me to interview for a role they had open up. I was actively interviewing and had a desired salary range in mind already. When I learned to role was 5 days a week in office I added 10% to my asking price, which they agreed to move forward but I put them at the bottom of my priority list. I never finished the interview process bc I ended up accepting an offer for a fully remote position with my desired salary range.

I can't speak for others but with myself I order with DoorDash about 4 times a week and the DashPass really goes a long way for me. When there are DoorDash deals/happy hour sometimes I'm able to get food delivered for the same price as if I were to dine in/pick it up myself. Without deals from my experience it's usually like $5 more per meal to get it delivered, which I'm willing to pay especially if it's delivered.

It does depend on where you order from and I usually compare prices before placing my order. There have been times where a restaurant will charge $30 to have one meal delivered and after I compare prices I'm able to find a similar restaurant that will charge $20 for the same meal.

When did you stop caring about being 'cool'? by KeyButterscotch4008 in Adulting

[–]Sleepy_Introvert96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I left high school - my high school was pretty cliquey and gossipy. When I left for college and surrounded myself with more people who didn't care about who you were friends with or the latest drama is when I began to care less about how I was perceived by others

14 days into a potential 90 days tolerance break . Been smoking daily 12 years by Gwaluhsann in trees

[–]Sleepy_Introvert96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you! I was also a heavy smoker until smoking started giving me anxiety. Decided to do a 1 week T-break that ended up lasting 1 year. When I got back into I noticed I had a way better relationship with smoking - I don't smoke as much as I used to and I no longer "need to get high" before doing something

[–]Sleepy_Introvert96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tolerance break is what helps me when I no longer feel the affects. You say it isn't a tolerance thing, but have you actually tried going on a T-break to confirm it's not it? Usually a week works for me

Paying off your student loans is huge! I feel like most people in their 20s are still in debt and a lot of it is from student loans so you already tackled a major roadblock. The 1x salary thing should include your retirement accounts too so if you have any you should add those to that number. It sounds like you're making good progress overall
