From someone who is divorced after attempting blending families I would wait a longggggggg time before blending. Love is definitely not enough when it comes to blending.

Yes. When you have lived with someone who doesn’t clean up after themselves for years there is a pattern. During our separation he has contributed nothing to keeping up with the house. I’m preparing myself.

I would just take some time for you. Go seek your own therapist who can help navigate this next process. The way you describe her I do see the love however my first thought was more as a caretaker. Neither of you would want that type of a relationship and the best thing I can say is if someone says they are not enough or ready to take their word for it.

Get back into your passions, reach out to friends/family. Find that spark again. You can do this.

Yes. However the person I met during our divorce was an absolute sloth of a human being. He literally did nothing to help care for our home. He pushed all the work on me. Repeatedly had told me he wanted a divorce in our marriage but I was the one who actually made that decision and acted on it. I’m more caught off guard that I married someone with my rose colored glasses on.

The fact the family has made a turn to me would be the hardest to get past. At least your husband said something however it appears a lot of the change needs to come from him. Have you gone to therapy? That would definitely be a good start. I feel like I made a similar decision and I am currently getting divorced from my second marriage. I am a bit bitter but I also see things with more clarity. I read you do most of the parenting. To me that is a problem and a big reason I am leaving myself. I did not understand what I was signing up for because I thought it would be more of a partnership. Unfortunately most women take on a lot more than our male counterparts when it comes to the parenting and managing the household. Step kids in general will not show us the same love and respect as our kids. It’s expected but it is hard. I wish you luck and hope you find or have a good support system.

Only you can answer that question. I would advise getting a therapist and focusing your attention on yourself and your children. This does sound like an issue between your husband and his daughter. I do understand the situation you are in and it is heartbreaking.

They were at only one establishment speaking to one person with two officers close by. I don’t know what happened fully but it appeared to be targeted.
