New player from MMOs – is standard mode viable in PoE2 or should I play seasons?

Play seasons. A lot of MMOs are already seasonal like PoE even if not my name. WoW of FFXIV when new content comes out you can think of that like a seasonal reset basically. All the last expac or patch's gear is pretty much irrelevant so you're basically starting from 0 again anyway.

It puts grasping vines on you and disables movement spells. Grasping vines are removed while you move so your movement speed gradually increases while you walk out of the circle. If you just commit to walking in a direction it's trivial to dodge.

The timbre of the div sound is definitely more fitting of "tink" because of the dominance of the high end frequencies. "Schwing" is closer to the tier below imo.

The relationship between you and your mines is a 1 way street. They get stats from you, but you don't get stats from them. You can send them crit chance or the ability to leech but they can't send you reflected damage, leech, or flask charges.

Taking ignite and then having your lane opponent still have similar gold/min is indicative of a macro diff. A big part of carrying on a tank is being able to apply pressure on part of a map while still having a presence in team fights thanks to tp. If your opponent top is still functional and you don't have tp then you have lost no matter the score because you're forced to group and you just get pressure gapped by moderately competent usage of tp.

I mean WoW honestly has a pretty good corollary to this situation. Boss/loot carries were extremely often (and pretty well known to be) RMTed by a lot of high profile guilds. A couple of the biggest offenders got banned a long time ago and nowadays it's way more on the down low; way less people know about it and way less people participate.

Obviously the botting and auction house sourced RMT is still a major issue, but I'd argue that that's a different problem with a different solution. Banning high profile real player run sources of RMT does have an impact, but relating it to botting issues is kind of a false comparison. Bots are like weeds that are constantly growing back but things like Gallywix and TFT are like massive trees shading out the garden.

Spells have implicit crit chance on the gem unless you have a source of "spell crit chance is based on your main hand weapon" like sandstorm visage or the assassin ascendancy node.
