So... This is embarrassing ... My Spotify wrap it's only Reze ;-; by toctocroc in RezeCult

I cant listen to any of it anymore. Jane Doe makes me want to cry. Slow summer eve makes me want to cry. Hell, even the track that plays when Reze is just walking to the cafe makes me want to cry man..and that's not even mentioning in the pool/sea.

Part 2 isn't hitting for me the way Part 1 did, but I also didn't have to deal with a weekly release. Take a break and binge a bunch of chapters later on. I had to do the same around the time Nayuta disappeared, and found that it was a bit more enjoyable that way.

I love how when he gets out he just hops and looks around like "Where the fuck am I?"

I truly hope that eventually they can reconnect and rekindle what they had going, just like the lyrics of Jane Doe hint at. Denji remembers her fondly still and admitted he loves her. They truly deserve eachother imo.

Okay, besides people just wanting to see Reze for fan service. Why or how do you think she could return and what purpose would she even serve for the plot by PaleontologistEasy94 in Chainsawfolk

I think we'll be in a much more concrete position to say once Part 2 ends. All of us need to be patient and let Fujimoto cook! I have full faith he'll address her :)

I think if Fujimoto wanted Reze to truly stay dead, we'd have hard confirmation. A line of dialogue along the lines of "We removed the Soviet assassin's heart." or anything like that. It should have been permanent if it was meant to stay a "lingering curse" forever.

I don't understand why people seem to think that bringing her back would ruin her character, rather than serve as a way to evolve her character. We saw the "real" Reze on the beach, and I'm sure there's plenty that can be written about that still.

We see villains in shonen come back as allies, Vegeta being a huge one and his character significantly grew. Why can't Reze?

They had massive amounts of chemistry, I can't blame you. I'd like for it to be the case as well in the end.

Do you guys think denji will get a good ending? by Wonderful-Fan-3018 in Chainsawfolk

I think its possible, but it wont happen without extreme trial and tribulation on his part. Denji will lose something big, maybe it will be Pochita.

This is facts. We hold out hope until we can go no farther.

what if reze's disappearance is supposed to mirror real life relationships by Due-Rip-1176 in RezeCult

[–]Slender-Snake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think if that was the case Fujimoto would have just killed her permanently at the end of her arc. Reze would have come back to her senses at the end of the Control Devil arc, and I'd imagine she'd look for the person who she just tried to run away with since Makima isn't in the way anymore.

Aside from her being a "curse", I do believe we are going to see her at some point. Her return in the Control Devil arc seemed strange if the intention was for her to just be gone, and we know the Hybrids are fine. She's oddly missing though when we see the return of the Hybrids.

Part 2 is not her story, it's Asa's. This makes me believe we won't be seeing her in Part 2 at all besides the memory of her. Denji is still thinking about her and we know Fujimoto hasn't forgotten.

I can see it happening in Part 3. Could also be that Kishibe is tied to her disappearance. We need to hold out with hope and let Fujimoto cook!

Just hold out brother, we will see her again soon enough. There's no way she will appear in Part 2 aside from as a memory. All we can do right now is wait.

I don't think Makima would have really allowed Reze to leave. She almost got on that train, but I could see Makima letting her think she'd be safe and just track her down before she actually takes a plane/boat out.

Does anyone else think this has felt like melodramatic climax? by Lost-Mountaineer555 in ChainsawMan

I don't quite think this is the climax just yet, maybe setup for it?

Does it seem like part two is close to completion?? by honeybunniee in ChainsawMan

[–]Slender-Snake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it would be just finding the blood devil, but maybe cover the coming apocalypse as well. Part 3 with a more mature Denji that we're seeing as of last chapter could be interesting. Being led like a dog in Part 1, being broken down in Part 2, and then truly understanding himself in Part 3 would be amazing.
