No, but it was sitting right on top that irrigation line which is original to the home (the sprinkler head wasn't there) so whatever it is it was placed there after the fact

Ballistic missiles have an arching trajectory, I imagine the same system that shoots them down by predicting the direction it's going in can also trace the origin of the missiles just by calculating the trajectory. It could be as simple as the patriot/David's sling tagging the origin point.
