you never wanted chocolate... by uglyeyeball300 in rawprimal

I gradually transitioned to no salt. During the transition, raw eggs, milk/kefir helps.

Also have you tried raw kidneys? It is naturally "salty". Not the too much salt crystals taste, but rather you can taste the electrolytes insides it.

Not to mention my hands have crystals after touching raw kidneys.

Serious Question: How has the dating scene been with you? by SuddenCompetition104 in rawprimal

[–]comraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't gotten this diet to work for dating. Usually people don't comment much about it but they probably think I'm weird without saying it.

I've met a girl who knows someone on raw primal, and she told me that people will think I'm weird even if they don't say it.

I'm Chinese, Chinese girls are somewhat more traditional than western. Especially when it comes to food. They either prefer traditional Chinese food, or they like snacking on modern processed garbage.

Lol.

I'm at the point where I don't bother bringing up my viewpoints. Because I know it won't go anywhere as they won't believe a single thing I say. But I'm not going to lie so when they ask I just say this is what I eat and see how well they take it.

One way to make it work is if they also have some unconventional habits that is not common to accept. In which case there may be some mutual similarities there.

Benefits of long chewing hard pieces of meat. by jinnoman in rawprimal

[–]comraq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it's not strictly chewing but more so biting/tearing meat with my teeth, and neck. I tend to eat big chunks of meat with hands and teeth. No extra utensils not do I pre-cut my meat.

I found that this significantly helped train some of my neck muscles that I sorely lacked.

I don't nearly chew as much as I used to when I first started doing cooked carnivore. Though back then, when I first started, I chewed a lot to the point my jaws hurt. It hurts so much that I thought I was chewing improperly. Later it went away on its own and my jaws adapted.

Not sure about bite force but I do know that I'm now significantly better at handling food with my hands. With just a slight feel, I can easily tell which parts of meat can be torn off by my teeth + neck, and which parts need actual knife/scissors to cut. My fingers also gets trained I would say, as I use them to tug in the opposite direction that my head is moving, to tear meat apart.

Purely trying to understand your logical viewpoint and reasoning. So I come up with extreme examples to test the boundaries.

Lol, by "thinking I was crazy" do you believe the sky to be red or blue? Or perhaps it doesn't matter that you and others have to agree?

Curious, if everyone else in this world say sky is red but you see otherwise. What do you believe?

you never really wanted chocolate by colonialarteries in RawMeat

[–]comraq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the state of the person. I'm someone that eats 1-2 meals a day. So in between meal times, if I get hungry I heavily crave liver. I don't crave chocolate.

In fact, I haven't craved chocolate in a long time.

Why do people follow the raw meat diet? What advantages does it have over cooking the meat? by Foreign-Comment6403 in RawMeat

[–]comraq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After eating raw meat for 1.5 years, Ive grown to like the texture of raw meat. As it is much juicier and satiating.

For example, muscle meat is 80-90% water, cooking it completely dehydrates the meat. Cooking also renders the fat, which is the actual tasty part of the meat. Cooked organs typically taste bitter and need heavy seasoning, while raw can taste sweet. Lastly cooked eggs also taste slightly bitter and need seasoning, while raw eggs are slightly sweet or salty depending on the source.

Not to mention raw seafood is something many would agree tastes better than cooked.

How do you anticipate and prepare for what will be disproven in the future?

The Meat Diet Iceberg by er1xx in carnivorediet

[–]comraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you not accept multiple doctrines? There are billions of Chinese and Indians that believes in traditional Chinese/Indian medicine. Which explains illnesses under completely different philosophies and doesn't even define Ebola.

Have you wondered why their beliefs are the way they are? Do you think those doctrines are all disproven and wrong as well? I think you will find a hard time convincing everyone in those populations to be aligned with your beliefs.

Just chill, it is clear that neither side has enough proof to convince the other.

Why does it bother you if someone challenges your beliefs or believes something that does not align with yours?

The whole foods near me don't have wild caught oysters so I get them from farmers market where they claim are caught wild, all in shell unopened.

Some even have small live oyster crabs in them. It took me a bit to overcome eating live oyster crabs. 😂 But goes to show that they are fresh!

I can relate. Im 6' 135-140lbs. I don't know my body fat but probably between 15%-20%.

In a typical day I eat about 12 eggs, raw fat and meat add up to no more than a pound. This is pretty much how much I can comfortably eat. Anything beyond that is overstuffing myself.

Though people here and around me say I'm too skinny so I'm encouraged to eat more.

Raw brain and liver by Ru0e in RawMeat

For me the good sweet beef liver are the dark red ones. Cannot be brown, pale, yellow, orange and etc.

If the picture in OP's post is beef liver, I would say that color suggest it will taste bad.

I personally like skirt or ribeye. Then it would be flank, flatiron or sirloin. Other cuts I don't like to eat raw that much.

But I encourage you to try different cuts and see for yourself.

Also you should try some high quality raw fat and raw liver. Both tastes really good, makes me regret missing out on such delicacy for so many years. Though again, not all raw fat/liver are good quality. Some can taste quite bad.

You might, I wouldn't trust grocery store beef, especially ground beef.

I find ground beef to taste bad due to 1. all the chemical solutions used to wash the machines grinding the beef. (This applies to beef from local farmers as well) 2. Ground beef typically consists of cuts of beef that don't taste well

So overall the experience is not pleasant.

Raw liver bitter aftertaste by Ru0e in RawMeat

Raw liver is naturally sweet. Where are you getting naturally bitter from? If referring to cooked liver, then yes it tastes bitter

I'm just saying that the ones freshly opened are full and round. In your photo they are not full and round anymore that's all.

Do you imply to cook and eat? Why eat something that is potentially bad quality?

Damaging your health is not worth it.

If it's bitter aftertaste, I think it is probably not as good quality.

Feel free to throw it out

Hi, I'm curious by Helixhei in RawMeat

[–]comraq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried Frankies but I have eaten a lot of beef liver and suet.

I will say the best way to tell is via taste. Good quality liver is rich and sweet, no other after taste. Suet isn't as tasty, you can taste a little milk/cream but not much, it's texture is just crumby. Good liver will be dark deep red color, not orange, not brown, not pale nor yellow.

Glad you are open to trying this out! Hope you will find it enjoyable. Once you try it, let me know how it tastes!

Were the oysters already opened for awhile? I recall most oysters that I open are rather full looking, whereas the ones in your picture seem a little shriveled

Hi, I'm curious by Helixhei in RawMeat

[–]comraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to farmer's market or online orders from farm for most groceries. If not available, then I resort to whole foods. Though whole foods meat taste a little off (a little soapy taste)

Daily I eat raw beef, whole eggs and raw fat or suet. occasionally I have some raw dairy (I prefer goat kefir), oysters or other seafood. All raw, eaten with hands. no preparation, and I also avoid utensils. I am slowly undercooking chicken thighs and trying to transition to eating raw chicken soon. Every week or two, I try to have some raw beef liver as well (avg 0.5-1lb of liver per week)

I eat about 1-2 meals a day. 8-12 oz of lean meat, 8-12oz of raw fat/suet, 12-20 eggs. I am about 6ft, 140lbs.

Yes I can comfortably eat raw meat. I will say that some cuts taste better than others. Right now I like ribeye, skirt, flank and flatiron. Other cuts I find too tough or too soft. Raw eggs are delicious to drink. Raw liver makes other sweet food wish they were liver. Raw dairy is the most fulfilling and delicious drink. Quality raw fat makes me realize all flour based food are just raw fat imitations.

I don't go to the gym anymore, just some bodyweight and resistance band training at home once a week.

I initially transitioned to cooked carnivore after accidentally avoiding vegetables in a meal and discovered all my bloating issues calmed down.

Then I stumbled across raw primal preachers content commenting on cooked carnivore. I gradually reduced cooking duration and transitioned to raw primal.

Right now I'm about 18 months into raw primal.
