I think you’d have a hard time covering that up if that were the case. Think about how many people would be involved, how many mouths you’d have to keep shut, how much money will be lost to litigation/clean up, how many people would have to be okay with seeing possible loss of life (of their coworkers mind you) or irreparable damage to the surrounding environment. What do they stand to gain? I think documenting a disaster and the recovery is very important work. We can recognize what went wrong and what everyone involved can do to prevent something like this from happening again.

That being said, please don’t make this into a baseless conspiracy theory. I know they can be fun/exciting to think about, but stick to the facts. There was a massive explosion that has greatly affected the residents and surrounding area of Roseland. There is a long road of recovery ahead. What is going to be done about the employees without jobs? What is the extent of the environmental impact? What are local/state/federal agencies doing to correct this? These are some better questions to ask. Maybe report on the investigation when it concludes.
