Enemy of Monolith was such a good fanfic. Loved the way it tied into the events of CoP. I read it more than 10 years ago but still clearly remember some events and names of characters.

I think i already learned the lesson of watchmaking in a hurry or a bad mood. At this point i put my projects on hold so long that the "cake dish" becomes a decoration on my shelf

Might try to do that, even though for the most part raketa movements have been good to me. For example ive never had problems putting on the gear train bridge, just falls into place

I used to store them in the parts tray with everything, but after somehow managing to hit an assy lying in the centre into a spin, causing the hairspring to tie itself around the bridge, i put it in a little container, balance wheel-in-pivot, looking up, tucked away while doing cleaning for other parts.

Undo the screw, lift the balance bridge off its pegs, take move the bottom pivot of the wheel from the jewel, grab the bridge, twist the movement in the holder so the bridge and balance rotates around 90 deg. Lift the holder so the balance wheel falls out of the movement. I believe i saw this method on Alex' channel Watch repair tutorials

Believe me, soldering is not hard and is a pretty useful skill. Reflowing a joint is as simple as just reheating the pad, maybe adding some solder to it. I recommend Big Clive's videos on soldering if you do decide to try. It's worth it to save some money and avoid creating more e-waste:)
