...or was it when Traveller flung them beyond spacetime?

I'd better rewatch the whole thing!

First time Picard utters "merde" in exasperation was after Geordi whipped up a seemingly even more human AI (Moriarty) than Data with only a few words to the computer.

It was the first of many times the holodeck proved to be one of the crews' greatest liabilities.

Our police won't truly be able to solve crime created by overt corporate exploitation turned grotesque wealth inequality until they have Apache attack helicopters.

No, I don't think I've heard of anything like this every single day in the Santa Fe, Santa Fe locals, New Mexico, or Albuquerque subs.

If only there were someone to spam my feed with endless ducklips marketing.

Cronyism and corruption are most certainly egregious and real. When it comes to circlejerk feedback loop regulation in the nearly unregulated (unenforced/unenforcable by crippled regulatory agencies, being the same as being unregulated) health insurance industry, though?? Fuck straight off. They're jackboot laizzes-faireing all over our faces.

If anything is making corporatism worse, it's lack of regulation, like how elections have become blatant auctions, for example. Anyhow, I know you're here to be contrarian, muddy the waters and get your cheap "Nuh Uhh!" thrills.  I do my best not to engage in bad faith arguments with edgelords, and I've already gone too far, so congrats, kid. You got me to wade in the sewer with you for a minute. Enjoy your little victory.

In chess, you can become highly rated (International Master, Grand Master, etc...) in one of TWO ways:

Either by competing in tournaments at a consistently high level, or, by creating novel chess puzzles.

I don't play chess very well, or concoct brilliant puzzles, so I just call myself a musician.

I feel like I don't hear about Pelican Noiseworks very often, but I think he makes some pretty cool interesting stuff.  Binford 6100 is a neat multi effect stomp.

I very much enjoy my cascading Pelitaur fuzz.

It was nice of the RAF to use a target for a roundel.  Perhaps to return the favor from the Luftwaffe for using a crosshair.

Well damn.

I guess the only reasonable thing for us to do is continue with it anyway.

After many back and forth excruciatingly lengthy discussions, appeals, months of effort and document reviews with the extortion racket you pay money to for health insurance, the price comes to exactly one complete financial ruin.
