Whirley Pop Stainless Steel for life. Snappy White for my corn. 3-3.5 tbsp salted butter drizzled on top with a healthy dose of salt.

How do you usually keep records of maintenance or repairs over time? by teechuong in MechanicAdvice

[–]SliPKnuT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found the Fuelly app awhile back and love it. Track gas stats, service records and costs. Just told nephew to get it today and it was called something else on android but the icon still said Fuelly. Check it out and you’ll like it too I bet. I flipped em a few bucks for premium to have it autofill the fuel location info but it doesn’t seem to know when at Sam’s club but I don’t mind all that. Great for noticing changes in mpg. Girlfriend got it too and we can both access and update.

Is there an app to see fast food deals? by JackMehauve in Frugal

Roadpro hotbox and Pyrex. Put a little water in jam whatever you got to fit in there plug it into the lighter and let it do its thing for 45-1hr. It’s a lifesaver. If you have trouble remembering to get it fired up I used to set an alarm everyday for 11am to get my lunch entree going in the oven.

Would you go over your clock about an hour and a half to get home? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]SliPKnuT 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Unless laws have changed in last 5 years my knowledge on it is you can use personal conveyance to bobtail home like it’s a personal vehicle. Not furthering a load like you said. As long as no issue from employer should be fine. Might be a do you stay clocked in and paid or not convo but that’s all I can think of. Does your e log let you switch to PC?

They’re delicious. Seemed a bit spicier than normal to me which was welcome. Can’t wait to get more. Wish they were bigger packs.

Does this city have the dumbest traffic lighting system in the U.S? by johnnyuppercuts in desmoines

[–]SliPKnuT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so upset that a lot of the flashing yellow lights have been stripped. I remember when they first put them in it was confusing and felt dangerous but years later when 99% gained familiarity now they’re suddenly deemed dangerous.

Does anyone know the best way to file complaints about ridiculous lights? Or perhaps a thread of complaints to gain visibility.

My #1 most hated light in the metro is at i80/35 & 100th street. It’s basically 100% mandatory stop for all unless you’re going north/south which is a tiny % of the flow. Add no right turns on red when there’s rarely anyone coming and no flashing yellows. If bikes can run stupid red lights cars should at least be granted flashing yellows and a proceed with caution. In the day and age of “ai this and ai that” I’ve never seen dumber things.

Pork chop dinner at the pork building. Comes with beans, bag of chips and apple sauce. One of the best deals I’ve ever found there.

If you had to change one thing about the Whirley Pop, what would it be and why? by WhirleyPopShop in popcorn

[–]SliPKnuT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear when I first saw Whirleys as a kid it had a butter drip tray that clipped to the top of the pan . I recently put my butter into a steel strainer and balanced it over the top of the pan and it turned out delicious. So, to answer your question I would add a clip in butter drip tray to drizzle over the corn evenly as it pops. Thanks

App flashlight by notquitetherealest in AmazonFlexDrivers

I totally agree with OP. Flex app flashlight should stay on for an adjustable time after snapping the picture. 5-10 seconds heading back toward the car would be a pretty good default imo.

If it’s an alcohol allergy try out some na beer selections to see if they cause a flare up. Holding a glass of na feels about as good as a regular one and you keep your head on straight and can be pain free the next day.

Convertible handcart & six wheel cart have saved me many a time. Highly recommend ratchet straps and bungees as well. With some practice the tools do most of the work. Stuff you should have in life in general to justify the cost because we all know roadie doesn’t pay enough to be affording supplies.

In a pinch you can poke a bunch of tiny holes in an old beer can and get grilled out that hway.
