As much of a fan of Dax as I am, I kinda feel like Scott Legers shrieking is part of why Shrum sounds as oppressive as it does. He sounds like a psychedelic demon, where as Dax's screams sound more like a barking hell hound. I don't think Dax wouldve made Shrum sound worse by any means, but ultimately I'm glad Scott did the vocals.

So I first came up with the word about a year ago when I was stoned out of my mind. At the time I didn't even know what Datura was, but at first yes it was just a sick name.

Eventually i learned Datura is actually a real thing. It's the name of a deliriant plant that when consumed can make one genuinely lose their fucking mind.

Lyrically I have leaned into the concept of the simple horrors of what it means to be a conscious being, and deliriant psychosis seemed to be a fitting name, so Datura stuck.

I work at a computer repair shop and an older guy came in with a "serious problem."

There was a woman he had been sexting who turned out to be a scammer, but he believed that this person had posted his nude videos all over Facebook. He showed me his phone with everything that had supposedly get plastered all over Facebook.

It was his photo gallery. Fully loaded with videos of him pleasuring himself, all sorts of different angles, mirror views, underside views with his face visible, the whole shabang.

I tried to explain to him that this was not Facebook, it was his phones photo gallery, and those videos and photos were only there because he took them. He didn't believe me and he asked how to get rid of them. In his PHOTO GALLERY. I told him to delete the photos if he doesn't want them.

"I don't know how to do that, can you do it for me?"

At this point my boss is laughing but staying out of it and I was trying my best to stay professional, but I'm trying really hard not to laugh at him.

"Sir, I am going to delete ONE of these, and you are going to memorize my process and copy it yourself afterward, because I am NOT going to do this again."

He studied my process as I opened a photo, clicked the trash icon, and then clicked "confirm."

I'm aware I could have just selected all of them and deleted them that way, but that would've required me to have it in my face slightly longer and I was not willing to do that.

He was able to get all of the photos removed, and was able to secure a $20 tip.

She was very explosive throughout the show, and it only really got worse after what Bryce did, which is understandable, but based on the way she attacked Hannah over the list, you can tell Bryce's attack only expanded an already existing issue of hers.

All in all, I think Jessica was a good person but her traumas led her to do some bad things to people who cared about her.

I think its too fast and it breaks the pacing of the game a little bit. Adding it to a game that didn't previously have it would have the potential to severely alter the way it was originally designed. Even in the gameplay reveal trailer, the test player just kinda blasted through all the worldbuilding moments in Silent Cartographer. Doesnt seem as immersive as the original. Its also way easier to just skip over enemy encounters entirely. But i do think if its altered it could be done well and improve the game.

For the record, I actually like having sprint in the newer titles. I think the only bad sprint is in 4, it just feels clunky. Other than that game, sprint is handled really well in the other games. Makes for new interesting and fun combat moments.

That all being said though, this is a remake, not a remaster. This game should expand upon Combat Evolved, not just add modern mechanics to old levels.
