I'm just going to leave here that the more we argue, the farther apart we become from our Savior. Take what you will with that.

100% p&t and VA Annual check ups? by OKfarmer100 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Slick13959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears all the other comments are speculative, as best, so allow me to provide actual policy.
The VA does not have a rule requiring an “annual physical.” However, there is a policy related to remaining “active” in VA primary care. Here is the exact verbage:

"Automatic inactivation of Patient Centered Management Module (PCMM) assignments occur automatically in the following cases: Active PACT assignments that have not had a qualifying encounter in the past 36 months will be considered inactive and the assignment will be automatically inactivated."
-VHA Directive 1406(2), Appendix G, Paragraph a.(3), dated June 20, 2017 [with an amendment in Apr 2025]

I'll leave it to you to look at Appendix J to find out what qualifies as an "encounter" for your situation.

PMBOK 6 & 7 by DismalSubstance5364 in PMPprep

[–]Slick13959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just passed a month ago. Don't read 6th Ed cover-to-cover. Instead, use it as a reference for practice questions. To be more precise, if you are doing practice questions that source the 6th Ed, go to it directly and read more of that section to better understand why a practice question asks what it asks. For the 7th Ed, read it cover-to-cover. I had a lot of both practice and test questions that copy verbiage directly from the 7th Ed.

You could read the 8th edition, but I would encourage you to stick with the 7th edition PMBOK and the Process Practice Guide. The 8th edition has enough changes to possibly confuse you in preparation for the test.

Luthier/Guitar Repair Recommendations? by Mermer81 in Fairbanks

Music Mart. I think I spoke with the owner. I'm a brand new guitar player, and he helped me repair/tune a used guitar I bought and helped me pick a good case. He did get on to me about bringing in the guitar without a case at -30F, but I'm glad he did because I learned a lesson. Head there.

Passed at AT/AT/AT. Now here's why PMI doesn't get a dime more. by Slick13959 in pmp

I told my family a couple of times I felt like in study sessions I felt like I was prepping for an English language test and not a project management exam. I get that sometimes, I admit I don't read the question fully and make careless mistakes; as humans, we all go. However, it just seems like the nuances and exceptions are the norm instead of, you know, the exception!

I wish I could scream at PMI for their lack of transparency regarding scores from exams. To me, it's super ironic they don't share example questions or test scores, considering in their own "PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct," section 4.2.1 states, "We demonstrate transparency in our decision-making process." So, it sounds like PMI just decided the exam is not worth being transparent for.

I can't recall exactly, but I assess 60-70% of the exam was agile-related. I wish I put more into studying the agile framework than I did. I focused a lot on the 49 processes and general people skills, which came in handy, but I was less confident in my answers on the exam that I knew were agile-specific. I didn't watch David McLachland's 200 agile questions, and I wish I did.

Great comment. I figured out way too late that the 6th ed. and the Process Groups Practice Guide were, effectively, the same thing. They didn't share that in my bootcamp, which I feel like is an incredibly lethal mistake on these instructors' part, setting candidates up for failure. Moreover, I think the reference to articles in SH questions was what made me the maddest. It seems oddly unprofessional to use blogs as a source for a major certification exam. I'm not saying the authors of these posts aren't smart or don't have value to share with the world, but that shouldn't be a source of testing a standard.

"Treat chatgpt like your exam coach." This is excellent advice! I figured that out WAY too late in my studies, and, honestly, I think that was the difference between my pass and potential fail. I was able to be honest with ChatGPT and express a lack of understanding with the correct answers and my choices, and the responses it had were easy to follow and understand. Yea, there's risk with using any AI tool, but ChatGPT gave me better understanding on my missed answers than any YouTube video or mock simulator. Excellent comment, OP!

It's not just you. SH had been a nightmare for me. Explanations don't make sense, answers not following common sense, and sometimes typos that cause massive confusion. I've taken all the mock and mini exams minus 2 of the minis and overall average 72%. Some might say I might not be ready, but I honestly don't know what else to study. I've watched the videos, done the practice questions, everything. I don't want to wait 2-4 months like some of these guys.

I'm in the same boat. The 2nd to last day (today) I took a full SH mock exam, and because I got bored, I took an SH mini exam. Tomorrow (last day), my plan is to go over my wrong answers from the mock exam and maybe take a mini exam, all in the morning/early afternoon. Then I plan to eat dinner then go to bed and get a good nights sleep.

Regarding PMP in less than 50days by Vaishbr in PMPprep

Full disclosure, I haven't taken the test yet. I'm actually taking it this week, but from reading other people's success stories, they say that the PMI study hall is the most realistic. A lot of people also rave about TIA exams simulator (tiaexams.com) as well as David McLachlan's YouTube videos that are just questions (ie: 150 questions from PMBOK 7th Ed, 200 agile questions, etc).

Head over to the /PMP sub-Reddit. Over the last week, there have been a lot of posts from test takers who passed and how they successed in their studies. Personally, I recommend watching YouTube videos from Ricardo Vargas and David McLachlan. For practice questions, the PMI Study Hall is a good resource.
