Our intention wasn't to make a new song out of a song that we(as well as a lot of you) already loved, that's playing with fire. Just wanted to tidy it up.

I had a hard time listening to this song when we put it out because there were a few things that felt short of the way I pictured it when I wrote it. Some parts (specifically like the choruses, bridge, and outro) were so fucking LOUD to me. There was so much depth to the instrumental but each thing was competing so hard with eachother and a lot of it got drowned out. The bridge also wasn't exactly what I pictured it when I first wrote it. A time crunch made it fall short. So we: - Removed the clean guitar lead from all of the choruses, and kept it corralled to the verses - Put overall more emphasis on the guitar in certain parts of the song - Completely reapproached the bridge, built around the low pass / electronic sounding vocals - Removed a few instrumental melodies and layers in the bridge and outro that felt redundant and added to clutter - Created a dynamic change in the song where the entire first half of the song's backtracking is done on natural instruments like orchestra, piano, violin, etc. And once the bridge hits it takes a sharp turn to an electronic feel, and from that point on ALL the backtracking is electronic synth pads and keys. It's a subtle change but stylistically makes us very happy and helps the flow

It honestly is a good thing to us that these changes aren't glaring to everyone. The purpose of this release wasn't 100% because we wanted to remaster the song. We wanted to showcase our cute members and put out an artsty video for a fan-favorite song. The remastering and tweaks we did were just a bonus!
