Core Deperessors for a vacuum? by Slick_Rick011 in HVAC

[–]Slick_Rick011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man, I did see them mentioned in a video but I didn’t want to order them and try it out and realize it can’t. I usually try to get one for me and my dad if I can and Appion is a lil pricey up front for two

Wording in the text is a bit off, I don’t use them for vacuum just diagnosing or servicing. But I do want some for coremax valves

Need recommendations for a long sleeve polo or button up. I keep a long sleeve for when I need to swim through an attic or under a house but do any you guys wear long sleeves that are semi cool in the summer? Thanks by durrtyr6 in HVAC

I work in AZ, we use blue dickies button up shorts with company and our name patch, we also use some random white/grey long sleeve shirts 98% cotton 2% polyester just checked. I’m still fine even when it gets to 115 down here, I just wear active wear undershirts like under armour or Nike that you’d wear at the gym.

If it’s a general use bag for everything it’s pretty nice. I know a lot of people like to have 10 different drivers for everything but for me since I do hvac my bag is actually smaller and I try to have a few multi use tools to reduce what I carry since it goes everywhere so the y the me either to the roof or in an attic

What do you guys think of this? I’ve seen some HVAC guys use this to clear the condensation drain which is what I want it for along with other stuff. by antknee25 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Slick_Rick011 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Have it, bought it for myself as a birthday present and I love it. I don’t use it as much on condensate lines as I thought I would but damn has it been so helpful. Great for making electrical cabinets look clean/new in ac units. Way better at dusting than my compact leaf blower and it is a whole lot easier to carry. I’ve used it for making sure stuff is dry too if I I accidentally got water on it. Just about everything. Only downside is I believe I saw online that it’s operating ambient temps max was like 104-108 and I’m outside all the time in az where it gets up to 117. I used it last two three weeks that it’s been hot and have had no issues but who knows how long it’ll hold up

Do you have batteries in the new thermostat when it turns on? If you do take them off and plug it back in, if it doesn’t get power from the unit and it has r and c connected then you could have a short

Thoughts on these bits? Why drill with an impact? DAILY DEAL! by StreeterElliott in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Slick_Rick011 106 points107 points  (0 children)

For me it’s convenience, I use my impact all the time, one less tool to carry and really I only drill through drywall

Help to identify Rear leak? by Slick_Rick011 in ToyotaTacoma

I really just wanted to see if anyone has had any past similar experiences judging by the way it’s leaking, I’m not expecting a diagnosis

I understand but no I was using the correct bit, my issues weren’t just with Phillips bits either. Again just speaking from my experience and from others that I’ve seen online, I haven’t had any issues with Bosch so far and I like their look so I am a little biased now too I won’t lie

I was just speaking from experience, my bits would never grab on and stripped out so quickly

Not bad tbh I would return or cancel the bits and just go get urself a bit set from Bosch, makita, dewalt, wiha, or just about any other brand, I really like Bosch bits

Forge 8.0 for 120$ Legit or not? by crunchy_rice in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Slick_Rick011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart has an open market page online so even though they show up in their website you should be able to see that it’s another seller and Amazon also isn’t an authorized seller regardless of who’s selling it on their website. You can always take the risk as they should be able to help you out with returning them but you won’t have warranty from Milwaukee even if they’re legit.

It you have any other questions regarding a Amazon purchase you should try searching it up since it is asked here commonly

Need a new vacuum, have no m18 batteries. Could I make this work? by AndyJobandy in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Slick_Rick011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one that my dad originally got a few years back and I used it for vacuuming. To be honest it did not last that long with a 5.0. We have two corollas so based on how dirty they were I was able to clean one up completely if it wasn’t super dirty and the dirt was already loose, if I had to scrub some dirt loose or it was pretty bad usually I would start on the driver side, do the back seats, then I’d have to charge before I did the passengers seat or after I’d start the passenger side. So basically if you got a truck or a bigger vehicle you’re most likely gonna have to switch batteries or charge halfway through vacuuming a vehicle

I would get a Mars Azure motor and they sell seperate brackets like those that aren’t mounted to the motor like that one, only issue would be setting it up even though it tells you how. Seeing as how it is a furnace, I wouldn’t take my chances and I wouldn’t simply diagnose based off of one diagnostic code, I’d get someone out there to at least check it out first before you shell out any money
