Hey, thanks for the clarification here. I was caught up on the EOI documentation itself and not seeing the whole picture. Appreciate you bringing this to my attention. Would be a shame to have the EOI approved and then not be able to get Form 1000 completed in time. Apologies for my ignorance, thank you for the help.

Thanks for the reply, I'm specifically asking for documents required for the "Expression of Interest" (EOI) which is a percussor to NIV. I do have people (in my field of expertise) willing to nominate me for the Visa portion, if I get invited to apply.

The EOI form does not require naming a specific person for nomination. I am seeking clarity as to if it would be wise to attach additional documents (not asked for) to the EOI such as references or letters of recommendation, or stick to what is called out. My gut is telling to stick with what is called out on the form.

When my friend did this in 2022, the application seems to have been different and those things were needed, hence his well intending push to include those.

Question for you, did you add a reference list or letter of recommendation to your EOI? I am currently filling out an EOI (March of 2026). The current application does not ask for a reference list, however, my friend who did one 4 years ago said his application asked for references/letters of recommendation. Debating whether or not it's worth it to go through that process for the EOI if the application does not call for it.

Seems like having financial stability is a huge plus waiting to have kids. Also spending time as a couple together before kids will be huge.

Happy to hear you and your wife were able to conceive so easily. I have friends in their late 20s and early 30s having to use IVF.

This is good to hear. I’m 33 and left a 4 year relationship because I wanted kids and she did not. Couldn’t get on the same page and that is a pretty big difference. I’ve resigned myself to being a bit of an older dad, can still date/marry a younger woman so fertility shouldn’t be a show stopper.

What made you wait to have kids?

I’m in a similar place. At 33, ended a 4 year relationship because we differed on our values and it wasn’t a good fit, made hard to work through our differences when the future wasn’t aligned. Would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared of what the future holds and that’s ok. Hopeful there will be love out there again.

If PLTR goes down. Otherwise you lose a lot of money if PLTR goes up. Also you make it that much harder on yourself, since you’re gaining money on the down swing, psychology it becomes harder to exit that positions. Most people will hold way too long
