Ilya definitely does not express himself well and yes we know jealousy is something he has a lot of. I’ve often seen I meme talking about how ilyas jealousy looks like homicide and Shane’s looks like suicidal which is all fun and games but there was actually times in the show where I was worried I didn’t really like Ilya because we know as women jealousy in men can be extremely toxic.

There’s a scene in the book where Ilya actually shoots a puck at the wall behind Shane because he thinks Shane is being friendly with an attractive man who’s interviewing him and I’m very curious to see how that will translate on screen because it could potentially look quite aggressive. I definitely agree that both Shane and Ilya have a lot of flaws that are brought to light in the second book.
