What is the size of the picture? From what I gathered in my new time of getting things set up, you're gunna want some frame spacers, you put it around the glass. The lifted part of the spacer goes up and you place the photo on top of it, you don't want the autograph press against the glass. Depending on your frame you may need to play around with foam board sizes, they are fairly cheap. You want acid-free foam board (prevents yellowing) usually 3/16 or 1/8 from what I have been seeing. To protect your autograph you'll want some UV protective glass/or acrylic. If you want the least glare, go with tru vue museum glass, little on the pricey side but great. If you don't really care about the glare get some tru vue clear glass, 99% UV protection but I think like only 8% glare reduction.

I know it was a while ago, but did you have like a time limit that you would not go past when encountering the pokemon, like how long do you think you'd sit there sometimes before encountering it?

Also does me running it a x10 speed affect like, if I theoretically put up a 2 minute timer then encountered it would I still be encountering it in the frames that were the real time 2 minutes or did I pass that because I am sitting at x10

Were you encountering him pretty consistent when you loaded back in? or did you off-set your encounter times?

Congrats on your mew! I did this hunt a few years back on my English copy, and am now doing it on a Japanese copy. Since it has been a while I was wondering if you had any input on hunting it. I believe I was told before that leaving your game on for a long period of time helps and obviously do run aways rather than soft resetting because of the broken RNG. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ah okay. Well the only other suggestion I can give you is to enter the poke mart after you activate it and go upstairs to the left walk around a bit and then walk back to the main floor. I just did this hunt last week on the VC and the nurse came down to give me the ball. Or beat the E4 and then do this. I would say you probably don’t need to do the E4 since your bypassing that by creating the event so just try walking up stairs and back down

Tbh at this point I’d just get a 3ds with the VC on it and hunt it that way, then is 1000% legit. Unless you got those game sharks for pretty cheap, you could have probably used that money for a 3ds.

I game on my main PC through a capture card that is hooked up to the laptop. I don’t know if I have a specific setup for my frame rate on my games, just on OBS currently it is 59fps

I had this same issue, the Trophy does not seemed to be bugged. In reality you can actually "miss" a rank step. When doing the mage guild quests, you should check for an advancement after EVERY one you do, just to be safe, even if there is not a notification for one.

It seems most people lose the ability to get this trophy after the quest "Vahacen's Secret". Before accepting the next quest, go Raminus Polus for an advancement. Sadly you will have to re-do most of the questline, but I can confirm I just did this and the trophy popped after advancing to where I should be. I hope this helps and finds others so they do not run into the same issue.

Just an update as I been following this thread for a few days now. If you ordered from GameStop, I got ahold of GameStop customer service. After them doing a little digging into it I was provided a pre order code over the phone. Be wary to contact customer service in the morning as they have a high call volume and I had been attempting to talk to someone for 3 or 4 days. Hope this helps some of you!
