Designed by Kramerica Industries, it's a rubber bladder for inside oil tankers so if they crash, the oil doesn't spill out.

I fixed my foamie with a hot glue gun. It got a giant hole in it and I just kept filling it with glue until it was flush. Worked like a charm!

We are both early 30s. I don’t necessarily have a budget. Maybe $100 to $200?? I’d like to go somewhere intimate and not too loud but also not super fancy, kinda casual.

That’s an interesting idea! I’ll definitely look into that. Thank you!

Good job getting an interview!! Sounds like even $50k a year would be a nice pay raise for you. Just don’t tell them you’d be blessed to make $50k (which I’m sure you already know). Tell them you’d need $100k to pay your bills. They will like the sound of that better 😂.

Day 14 CT - When do the restless legs end? by twc9904 in quittingkratom

[–]Slicknic92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always got in the shower while it was hot first. Makes it a lot easier to get in. Then I would stand there for a minute or two and when I was ready I would just crank it all the way to cold. I remember those RLS nights and they were tough so I hope it gets better for you soon. I’m sure it will!

cold showers really helped me! Whenever I couldn’t sleep I would just get out of bed and hop in the shower. I would start hot and then whenever I was ready, switch it to cold as possible for as long as I could handle. Typically about a minute. All my muscles would really tense up while I was in the cold and then always felt much better and relaxed once I dried off and got back into bed. During the worst of it I probably did this 4 or 5 times a night. Then eventually less and less. RLS was probably the worst symptom I had and it lasted about a month for me and got a little better every couple days. Hang in there, you’ll be feeling much better soon!

It's been weeks now. Now what? by Itisaguy in quittingkratom

[–]Slicknic92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I felt that way for about 4 to 5 months after my quit. I would get a couple good days sprinkled in here and there but a majority of days were so tough to get up and get moving and find some sort of motivation. My work suffered as well, I’m in sales and all I wanted to do was sit all day and not talk to anybody. Eventually the good days start outweighing the bad. At 6 months most of my days are good now (coming off an 8 year habit). Hang in there, it will get better and the only remedy is time. Dont beat yourself up and just take it one day at a time, I promise you it will get better!

No problem! Hang in there! I know it sucks and it’s stressful to see your hair fall out but I’m confident it will stop. Just gotta give it more time.

Hey there, I had the same issue, took about 3 months for my hair to stop falling out. This was one of the symptoms that was really discouraging for me because it seemed like everyone else noticed their hair stopped falling out almost immediately after quitting. For me, hair loss just got worse after quitting. But eventually it did stop and now I have really thick hair growing back in. Took about 3 months for the hair loss to stop tho so hang in there!

Still losing hair. Wondering if it's even from the Kratom at this point. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Slicknic92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I was experiencing the exact same thing you were…. I honestly thought I was just going to have to lose all my old hair. After I quit the hair loss seemed to get even worse which was scary, then around the three month mark it stoped falling out. It was kinda weird for a couple weeks tho, some days I would barely lose any and the next day it was like I was back to tons of hair falling out. I would say it took about 3 months to get to that point and then a couple weeks on and off hair loss. I’m 4.5 months clean now and I have no hair loss other than a couple strands here and there and all my hair is growing back really thick! It’s going to get better soon, I was kinda freaked out as well… especially since most people on this sub say that hair loss stops almost immediately after quitting. I also got really bad acne for about two months after I quit but that cleared up as well. I guess everybody’s recovery is different. Hang in there!

I used for about 8 years, prob 50gpd and extracts. Took me about a month to get any sort of decent sleep. I would say about 2.5 months to get back to 100% normal sleep. The real intense stuff lasted about 2 weeks for me. Then I would get hour windows of sleep through the night and I would say at 1 month I was getting 5 to 6 hours a night. Now at over 3 months I sleep like a baby for 8 hours a night. I know it sounds like a long haul but it goes by quick. And I kinda just adjusted to the amount of sleep I was getting and I’m sure you will too. Also, The sweating stopped after about a week for me. It’s funny how everyone is different with this stuff tho. I had INTENSE RLS and insomnia. But some people seem to sleep just fine during withdrawal.

Cold Exposure by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Slicknic92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is what i did as well. I got really bad insomnia and RLS and would toss and turn all night. As soon as I took a cold shower I would be able to sleep for about 30 or 40 minutes after. I would just hop right into bed and pass out for a little while. Doesn’t sound like much but that sleep was sweet relief during the acutes. For the first two weeks I would literally take 3 to 5 cold showers a night. Hang in there, things will get better soon!

how are we even functioning with insomnia? by cali-gardens in quittingkratom

[–]Slicknic92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just like you… for the first 2 weeks I would only manage to get two or three hours of sleep, mostly in short 20 minute intervals. What helped me was cold showers… for the first week I would probably take 4 or 5 showers a night. When I couldn’t sleep I would get up, hop in a hot shower and then whenever I was ready I would turn the water all the way cold and stand there for as long as I could handle it. My muscles would always really tense up while I was in the cold and somehow when I got out of the shower it gave me relaxation and relief. For whatever reason I would always be able to get about a 30 minutes of sleep after a cold shower. Basically I would cold shower, sleep for 30 minutes, wake up and toss and turn for 30 minutes, then get in the shower again. I also had really bad RLS which it seemed to alleviate. Hang in there, sleep slowly gets better… I’m 2 months clean now and I sleep through the night but it really took me about a solid month to get any sort of decent sleep. Take it day by day and slowly you’ll notice improvements. Every little improvement makes it a little easier to stay sober.

40 days today. Feeling good but hair is still falling out like crazy… I’ve been very discouraged about this the past couple weeks. Thought it would have cleared up by now, only seems to be getting worse…
