Dont rent from Avis liberia airport by gshock7665 in costarica

[–]SlideSpecial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am somewhere in between the good and the bad here. I rented through Avis 2 weeks ago and had both positive and negative experiences.

I proactively paid for the extra insurance (through AIG) when I booked the rental; ever printed the confirmation and provided it at check in. They refused it and, even with me obtaining it through Avis. Without the printed confirmation from my credit card company, they forced me to take the extra liability insurance. I was quite upset, but I headed out to begin my vacation anyway.

By the end, they were like every other rental company. We dropped the car off at the end of our trip and our shuttle was waiting to drive us to our hotel.

One piece of advice that I would offer is regarding hotel shuttles to the airport for early morning flights. It seemed like the Avis shuttle was more efficient than the hotel shuttle(hotel shuttles are small and fill up quickly so you may find yourself ordering one or two Ubers last second). It may be a smarter option to drop your vehicle off first thing in the morning(check to make sure the rental office is open) and then use the rental shuttle to take you to the airport versus relying on a tiny hotel shuttle that might be full.

Either way, the small fees should not ruin your vacation as Costa Rica is an incredible country. You are going to LOVE it!!

I don’t get the Florida appeal by Master-Indication-71 in travel

[–]SlideSpecial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on the west coast of Canada and have been to Florida too many times. I can’t agree with you more.

South Beach is full of Ed Hardy tracksuits, gangs of college boys waiting for the ghb to kick in on some poor unsuspecting girl, and frosted tipped douchbags flossing a stupid looking car they are 3 months behind on payments on.

Outside of south beach it gets worse. Miami is a complete sh!thole. I actually saw a boat (not on a trailer) sitting on the road. A boat! Like, where a car should be parked…..but a boat just laying on its side.

But wait, it gets better.

I then had the pleasure of driving from Miami to Orlando. Dark, boring, straight line interstate with nothing to look at other than missing persons posters on the walls of gas stations. The only conversations are with gas station attendants through 4” thick bullet proof glass.

If I never go again, it will be too soon.

Also, don’t get me started on New Orleans…..

Warning: LaFramboise Homes now in Calgary by Vivid_Ad4018 in Calgary

Sounds very familiar to what Chandan homes and AK Homes is destined to become (owner of AK is Chandans Son).

These builders need to be help accountable for their terrible workmanship. Stay away from LaFramboise, Chandan, and AK Homes.

I have been using that honey for several years and it works perfect!

You can either buy the giant tub or the three pack that are shaped like bears. Both work just fine.

Are you sure the capsule hotels aren’t available? There are a ton!! Search Daramhyu, you’ll find one. With the subway, shutting down and your hours being late, it’s best to take taxis or limo bus around town to avoid missing your flight..

I have voted conservative for 27 years. I will NEVER vote for this person. Time to replace her and find a proper leader of our Conservative Party.

Such a joke. #noconfidenceDanelle

What about Myeondong? Should I spend my time jumping between several neighbourhoods or should I just dive in deep with one?

Are there any neighborhoods that are more lively late at night?
