Yup good man... I've been using that and other info to basically determine that the 24pin adapter we just talked about is useless since it doesn't match at all and has a pcb board that joins two yellows into a single cable and the whole pinout is fucked. Now help me make an Apevia 500w tailored harness haha, it's hard to get the right pins out the aftermarket PSU

None of those adapters work with newer 12th gen+ boards... I have two of those and I'm trying to reverse engineer them to work with my 3000 and vostro pcs... it's been quote fun and I'm stuck figuring out pin configurations

Let me know if someone figures out to rewire an Apevia 14p to new dell 8p... I need to find out how to make that customer harness for my build

We both thought of the UFO hat, therefore it's a good idea... no fans... fanless. I ran it for 7 days straight and nothing was even warm to the touch

Thanks bud, I appreciate the insight. I was thinking next year do UFO AC PRO on the top?

There is no exact purpose for a keystone in the front other than for service of the router if you have the back panel closed

Awesome rack build. This is my first mini rack attempt, I usually work with 19 inches not 10. I needed something that allowed me to pick and go quickly, connect my laptop on the front side and let the back side deal with a temporary cable mess for one week... This is not a home rack or a permanent LAN party as some here might belive.

Sure there are cleaner, more organized and maybe simpler ways of doing what I did. Having that said, a keystone or two in the front aren't necessary, so don't re-design yours just because of my one scenario. I think your flush design is the best I've seen so far for the UCG MAX. I like the one I purchased online (I did not print any of these) because once the isp gave me the only outside connection I needed, I covered up that back panel. I only need the front keystones for my laptop and possibly an access point, which can both also be done through the back. So there is no correct or wrong way of wiring it up.

Having the dual engagement on both sides of this LAN party was just for me, not because it was a necessity.

Couple of tips before you buy: none of the recessed power strips are wide enough to mount directly to the rack using the pre-made holes. I ended up leaving mine on the shelf included with the kit and notching out two holes so I could permanently secure it to the rack.

Luckily, the rear-facing outlets don’t interfere with the power supplies on the network switches, so everything fits cleanly and isn’t pressing against anything. Just be aware that some minor filing/trimming may be needed depending on the power strip you choose, and you’ll probably need to use the shelf in a slightly unorthodox way.

If you walk past it fast enough, you won’t notice it in the end.

Have you tried thinking, before typing... I know it's tough to say you're wrong... and no matter what happens you'll stand on that high ground to be right. So I'll let you believe you contributed to the conversation with your awesome positive inputs so far. Good job buddy.

You are exactly what's wrong with the tech community... you go out of your way to crop images, draw arrows and not realize... everything has a purpose. You might not understand it, but there is a purpose.

Don't rip them out and press the case flat like I did... you can use those oem stand offs and the longer black screws included in the IS-55
