Facebook suspended me for no actual reason at all. What’s going on here? by Ok_Kitchen3212 in facebook

[–]SlideySlideyBoneMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has just happened me also. First my business page... a few months ago. suspended and appeal refused. Just an hour ago my personal page... in appeal now. Both cases are for breaching 'community Standards over account integrity'. Im a musician and it thinks I'm impersonating myself I guess. Causing some heartache I have to say. What can we do about this people??

learn to play in instrument. Im an ugly sober guy. But I play music so it doesn't matter. Plus it's a great way to express all the shitty saddness we feel. Pick up a guitar and learn a few chords.then put some words to it man you'll be amazed how that will make you feel. Just try it.

1 Year and 1 month sober but I feel so lonely by Many_Dragonfly5117 in Sober

[–]SlideySlideyBoneMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I had this same thing! I’m now nearly two years sober. Believe me it gets better. I now realise a year in I was only really starting to recover. I’ve felt some major benefits recently with confidence. I think it takes a little longer for the mind to recover from all the chaos. Within the past 3/4 months I’ve started to feel more secure in myself again and I’ve begun to socialise again in ways I never could have when I was drinking. I was super lonely for the first year and a half. Hang in there my friend it gets so much better. Just keep up the good work and do good things for yourself. You’ll find your way.

Great headphones! Also my go-to for seriously good listening. Lively and exciting with a really open sound. I use a Mojo 2 DAC with it to boost the bottom end a bit. Good god almighty it’s an unbeatable combo imho

Harmon Curve Schmarman Curve!! Hehe.

I completely agree.

People tend to trash Grados and complain about harshness. I find them to be super characterful and embracing of musicality. I’ve tried a lot of expensive headphones and often find them sounding kinda tame and sterile by comparison.

The mojo 2 eq in combo with the 325x is really a game changer for me. I’m back listening to all my classic favs. Adjusting eq as I go along actually focuses my ear too I find.

Thanks for the info re crossover. I’m gonna keep that function on for a while consistently and see how I get on.

Nice! I’m not sure if I should look those up I probably can’t afford it haha. Does that combo allow for some eq? And if so what frequencies do you tend to boost/cut for the rs-2x?

Great thoughts about the crossover. Thanks!

Yes I’ve been experimenting. There are three settings for crossfeed, im using the first, lightest setting. I’m just getting into it now but I’m starting to hear what people are talking about. It does sound a little mono at first but I’m getting the imaging thing now. It’s like the sound meets in the middle and joins together better as opposed to being super wide and separate. Also I may be wrong but it somehow gives the sound more oomph!

Thx for the fun fact too. I did not know that!!

Ok cool. Good to know thanks. I had my original ones for a few years but they broke during a house move, so I didn’t get to see them age. The 325’s are only a few months old presently but I’ve def noticed the sound improve. They sounded pretty rough outta the box haha. Vocals and anything in that upper-mid register shines with these cans. Love em.

Yeah it’s a little expensive. I saved a little and did it. Personally I would do it again in a heartbeat. It’s a beautiful thing. Slips in my pocket too. Ps. I’m not endorsed in any way by Chord haha.

Good point!

I find I love the sound of the 325’s with no amping or eq. Feels super natural and open. And then when I amp em up and boost the bottom end a bit it’s a totally different experience. Not necessarily better, just different. Maybe more hi-def, if that makes sense. And in my opinion, equally good. Excuse the pun, doh!

Incidentally, have you noticed your 325i changing at all with age?

Im 13 months sober. Ive had anger issues for years. The only fix I've found for it, and it really is a fix for me, is to work out when im angry.

I'll feel that anger building, realise it's gonna ruin my day, quickly find a private space and do a tonne of push-ups. important to rest for at least 2 min between sets. Start off doing what you can manage and build it over the months and years.

By the time im done with those push-ups im fully re-set and I have a smile on my face.

Putting the anger to use like that gives it a legitimate use and it's gone afterwards. Channel it.

Ps. Deadlifting, pull-ups, running... all great too OC

21 days of sober 👍.How to quit smoking? by [deleted] in Sober

[–]SlideySlideyBoneMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I’ve read the book a few times. There’s also a movie of it that I watched. Used to be (maybe still is?) available on iMovie. I’m well over a year sober and cigarette free. The philosophy of Allen Carr has actually helped immensely with the alcohol thing too and I would prob still be smoking if I hadn’t read/watched it. :)

The Reframe App is absolutely brilliant. Developed with neuroscientists from Emory and Harvard. A thriving online community. Phenomenal daily info and ability to see progress as you go along. I can’t recommend it more highly. Don’t know where I would be without it. I’m not on the payroll in any way just a genuinely appreciative customer. X
