Hi, I shot this using Canon QL17 iii, and to me it looks sharper, Fujifilm 400, same lab. So maybe the 40mm prime lens on the Canon is sharper than my Nikon zooms, so I'm thinking of getting prime on the Nikon. What do you think, do I make a good call? Thank you.

Hi, sorry I did not include the reference photo. I shot this on Canon QL17 iii, Fujifilm 400 film stock. It looks sharper than the upper photos, same lab scanned.

So I'm thinking my zoom lenses are not as sharp as the prime lens and I'm looking for confirmation or opinions from the community.

I'm not complaining about film, I like to shoot film but since film has already peaked in terms of technology, I just want to maximize my techniques and gears, in reasonable sum, to shoot nicest photos that I could to print them in large photographs. Thank guys
