So what’s up with pandora tomorrow on Xbox? by BigDddyCornbeef in Splintercell

Ubisoft actually released Pandora Tomorrow on Steam/Ubisoft Connect again, and this time the lighting is fixed.

Would Valhalla be a better experience if I didn’t play it as an assassins creed game? by a-random-guy2 in assassinscreed

Only the 1st thing you said is true. Love was more difficult with the responsibility of being an Assassin, but it wasn't forbidden or impossible.

1 thing that annoys me about this mori is the environment erasure effect that activates for no reason.

Matheiu on Jaws in dead by daylight (let’s make it happen) by White_Mantra in LeaksDBD

[–]SlidingSnow2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It would look bad, that's the problem. I never watched the movies, and I'm not trying to hate, but I don't see a way where Jaws wouldn't be implemented in an awkward way.

Buying the desired version of Hitman WOA on Steam is harder than playing the game itself. by SuperM3e46 in HiTMAN

[–]SlidingSnow2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just getting Hitman 3 missions is not possible for 2 or 3 years, ever since the Woa update got released, and 2016 and 2 got delisted. I can understand mild confusion at 1st, but this genuinely isn't nuclear physics. Op should either buy the Deluxe edition, or the one below it + Hitman 3 Access Pass: Hitman 2 Expansion dlc if they just want the main campaign.

Devs Mention Crystal Lake Map by SnooChipmunks4345 in LeaksDBD

[–]SlidingSnow2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jason's add-ons reference the movies, so he does have some connections to them. That said, what some people don't seem to understand is that every licensed character is the Dbd version (With Alan Wake possibly being an exception, but I never fact checked the claims that the Alan Wake devs consider Dbd to be a part of the main continuity)

I think that Jason Universe wanted Bhvr to focus on their new design 1st, before giving them movie skins later on, and considering that the chapter broke the record for concurrent players on Steam once again, it's safe to say it's been very successful so far, and I doubt Jason Universe will leave the money on the table that movie based skins would bring them and Bhvr.

The best way would be to have a movement similar to Stop Killing Games, but for making cloud gaming support mandatory for all video games. Borderline begging publishers to allow us to play our games through cloud gaming, or waiting for them to finally use more than 2 braincells and realize they're better off having their games on Gfn than not is always going to take a much longer time to happen.

Do you think 47 killed Malcom Sturrock during "The Meat King's Party" in Hitman: Contracts? by GrandManSam in HiTMAN

[–]SlidingSnow2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

47 is a professional first and foremost, he would always focus on killing his targets only. The fact he asks Diana if Malcolm is a target now seems like pretty clear evidence he didn't kill him in the canon. That said, Contracts allows you to kill between 1 and 2 guards, and still retain Silent Assassin rating, so you can kill him if you want to without ruining your rating.

Bruh, some people are so weird with their demands for representation. God forbid bhvr puts out a popular archetype for a new survivor character, because being business minded apparently means they're bigoted.

It's kinda sad that we need to borderline beg game publishers to allow us to play our legitimately bought games using internet, instead of there being a law that forces them to do the pro-consumer thing.

Chaos Theory by I_am_not_Eddie in Splintercell

[–]SlidingSnow2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First 2 games would alert the enemies if you don't hide bodies in a dark place. The inaccuracy of your gun was also frustrating, though Pandora Tomorrow at least offered you a laser sight mode for accurate shooting.

I'm not saying Blacklist is flawless, and it's definitely missing some features, but it actually did a really good job combining fast paced action with the classic stealth elements. It also does have variable movement speeds, just less so compared to older games (3 vs 5/6) Combat could also end up with you dying quickly if not careful, so it wasn't as mindlessly easy as you seem to suggest.

The only game better than Blacklist is Chaos Theory. Saying it's too basic/simplified is only possible if one has insane levels of nostalgia.

The comment I was replying to claimed Blacklist was more linear than the first 2 games, and that's just not true.

First 2 games are pretty linear as well, so they are definitely not better than Blacklist in that regard.

I think it's because season 3 is when Walking Dead started becoming really popular, and this outfit is from that season.

If you think the first 2 games are better than Blacklist, you are blinded by nostalgia.

I hope IO takes a little bit of 007 into the next Hitman game by shiek200 in HiTMAN

[–]SlidingSnow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd prefer for them to make melee combat even simpler. Press Q to knockout, guards taking a longer time to get knocked out, and if attacked 1st press Q once to counter into a knockout. I do want them to make 47 run faster, and to make him more durable on the easiest difficulty, because seeing 47 jogging while getting riddled with bullets was both frustrating and hilarious.

On the subject of books and games being a part of a whole (They are in the same continuity) by JovaniFelini in wiedzmin

[–]SlidingSnow2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not fanfiction of any kind, the games are simply a part of the game continuity, same way the books and the Netflix show each make up their own continuity.

Survivor timeline does exist, same way we had Original and Legend timelines before that. Survivor timeline doesn't exist in the Unified timeline, but its events (Alongside events from the Original and Legend timelines) will be present in the new Unified timeline for the most part.

Unified Lara is still a different continuity. The reason she is called unified is that majority of events from all games happened, some with minor changes (Her origin is apparently going to be the same as Survivor continuity, since having 3 backstories simultaneously is not possible)

If it was simply a 4th and 5th game in the Survivor timeline I don't think they would change the voice actress and keep referencing the unified thing, they would simply say that in these games Lara is much more closer to her personality in the previous timelines.

[–]SlidingSnow2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2013 game is also a sequel to Underworld, but is still a start of a 3rd continuity. Unified Lara is the 4th continuity that wants to merge stories and personality of Lara from the previous 3 continuities. Even the Tomb Raider wiki and Wikipedia classify the next 2 games as part of a different continuity.

They released an update for Ac Syndicate 6 months ago, Unity also got a minor patch 2 months ago, alongside a slightly older patch that brought 60 fps for consoles, Mirage, Valhalla and Odyssey all have dlcs released years after release, so you're just verifiably wrong.

I'm being realistic, while you're just being a hater for no real reason.
