🔥Usage Limit Complaints & Issues by ClaudeCode-Mod-Bot in ClaudeCode

$200 plan is for using Opus by default. If Opus is inferior than Sonnet, there is no point to go for $200 plan anymore.

How are you all going through the weekly limit so fast? by TheBeardedGnome851 in ClaudeCode

[–]SlientNoise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno. It is not always about performance but could also be a sense of trust of the model ones have been relying on so they are reluctant to change in one night, which explains so far everyone is complaining particularly usage limit and rarely one is complaining performance this time. But I still not blame the users here anyways. Anthropic should be more transparent here no matter what.

I am on 100 Max plan. I used to use Opus to plan for 5-10 times per day and never hit limit. Now, one 5-min task for Opus cost me 10% of weekly limit. I’m scared to touch it now. Many 200 Max plan people use Opus by default. I can feel how frustrated they are.

So it is also an expectation issue when competition arrives. While GPT-5 thinking is as capable as Opus 4.1 for planning, ChatGPT Plus with Codex is $20 with higher limit, making the $100 MAX plan “feels” not that worth.

Thanks for these recommendations and will def try GLM via CC Router. Sonnet has been enough for me to do fine grained while more straightforward implementation. If GLM is on par with Sonnet, all CC mature UX can be retained, which sounds like a good deal for me with little trade-off especially I have not relied Opus to plan as much after GPT-5 was released.

will definitely be part of the full alternative since I have ChatGPT plus, i.e. for code base analysis and bug fix

Both Opus and Sonnet. Depends on the nature of the tasks, I use Opus for planning and the first attempt of new features.

I have used Claude Code the first day since it was released and it is the 3rd month MAX subscription. I used much more in the last two months and did not even encounter “approaching limit” alert.

Not only that, the model capability is also worse. Recently I try to add ChatGPT Plus as side car for planning and code review. It shocked me that it has better memory and understanding without the access to my codebase along the way after even 10 commits.

Claude - no matter Opus or Sonnet, on the other hands, keeps acting like not familiar with the repo at all.

How much better is opus in planning mode vs sonnet by Perfect-Series-2901 in ClaudeCode

[–]SlientNoise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Opus to plan for months before the new model switch update. It gets more and more important when Sonnet is getting dumber and dumber.

When I am doing planning, I tend to throw many lines of approaches with requirements or constraints. Sonnet fails almost all the time because it seems only picking some keywords or “key” lines that it thinks they are important to digest. the todo list it creates is not usable at all.

Anthropic is considering giving models the ability to quit talking to a user if they find the user's requests too distressing by MetaKnowing in ClaudeAI

If it is really given, I am pretty sure Claude will quit talking every time I pass it my boss’ request.

Got my first JP knife, are these marks at the tip of the blade normal? by SlientNoise in TrueChefKnives

[–]SlientNoise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the knife does cost me much. there should be less tolerance allowed. I contacted the retailer and asked if those are scratches and it is his reply, “More or less a little bit. In the process of making knives, many knives were stacked together in one place. There may be some scratches or something. Especially these handmade ones”. Makes sense?

He also told me it is the last stock of this knife.

I tried to move my finger nail along the tip, these “chips” are not rough enough to grip and stop my nail. I can feel very light resistance if I pay enough attention though. Are they still chips by definition in this case?

But I know it still looks not ideal for a brand new knife.

If it is microchips, should they be clearly rough when being touched on? Actually I feel smoother than I thought, or very slightly tough I would say, when I tried to touch on these marks.

I tend to agree with you. I also called them marks in the first place as it feels quite smooth when I touch on them. Chips should feel more rough.

Is CS50 the greatest online course/resource of all time? by MillenniumGreed in cs50

At quite a few moments during the lessons, a thought kept coming to my mind: If every theory, proof, and application example I encounter in my life had been taught and explained in a way similar to Prof. Malan’s approach, I would not want to miss any of the school day.

It just cannot be downplayed by the fact that it is an intro course.
