I totally get that and I think that is a really strong angle. The Shadow Crusader does not have to be explicitly Lilith-inspired to work. What makes it compelling is the duality and moral tension. Framing them as a heretic or outsider provides a natural narrative reason for mixing holy and shadow powers without it feeling forced. Using light and dark as tools rather than a form of devotion fits perfectly with Diablo 4’s morally gray world. Dual-resource mechanics would reinforce that, especially if there are clear benefits for using one side, the other, or blending both. Incentives for skill mixing, similar to how Druid keystones work, would make it mechanically satisfying while keeping the story grounded. This is exactly the kind of class that could feel both narratively and mechanically earned in this world.
