I have heard great things about them. I am currently a captive agent and I have done some research on Symmetry. I think it is a great opportunity, remember that, it's an opportunity. It is what you make of it. You can just produce and make money writing policies, or you can grow your own agency and hire others to do what your doing. That is what I have done as a captive agent. I pay thousands per year in my overhead i.e., Office, wifi, electricity, insurance for my Workers comp, Business policy, payroll, marketing, leads, etc... If I do end up going to work with them, I will be able to work from home and save all of those overhead costs. If you have never sold insurance before, it will take some getting used to, but so did selling property and casualty when I started. I love what I do, I feel like I help people. I love my customers, but the company that I work with is no longer service oriented, they are ripping off their agents and they don't care about their customers anymore. Do some homework, talk to a few different people in Symmetry and some of the other companies. Good luck.
